Not even advanced stats support this notion. I wouldn't get overtly excited over a player in a small sample size on a bad team versus a proven player like Goodrow on a two time Championship team. Better than Goodrow's and Reaves weren't terrible until last season, which is likely why he'll be a bad signing as he is clearly on a steep decline. He's not a first line player, if you have to replace him with someone else then you do it because its easy. I dont get the fuss over a 4th liner. Not a huge fan of of the Goodrow term but to say he's a better player (or his numbers are better indicating he's better??) is a tough one to understand. Well I think plenty of players are better than Goodrow. I think he got paid around 3 times his actual value because he was lucky enough to be part of a team that won back to back cups. Hunt has never played more than 30 games in a season, and 89 career games over 4 years. He plays 11 minutes per night on shitty teams. Goodrow has played 331 career games.
