She's-twerkin is fine.  The problem is he set the bar as being the greatest goalie on the planet and when he isn't (currently) everyone is disappointed in his play.  He was money last year's playoffs and the year before after he started shaky.  Not worried about him at all.  If he's the biggest worry (nowhere near) then we are more than fine.

I'm not worried about him, he's still a great goalie, but these are some middling numbers.

Mika needs new wingers. I'd move Kreider and possible keep Wheeler due to his passing ability. More on that HERE.

Vinny with 8pts in five games to lead the team in that span. Kreider with 2pts and a -2 overall. I would drop him more but I don't think I can

Not totally on Gus, but Quick and Lindgren have been better.

There's not enough talent on the team right now.

The injuries have been really devastating and the other teams are matching up against the Panarin line because the overall balance is just really bad between the lines.  The Rangers have like 5-6 skaters right now who are 4th line quality and they're trying to push half of those guys up the lineup.

Then you have the general team speed issue and the half the top 6 guys aren't playing well at even strength issue and things get really grim against a good skating team with some offensive depth.

Laviolette is basically grabbing at air right now as he tries to pull rabbits out of the hat.  Was working earlier in the season but gravity has caught up to the team and they have been outscored by 10 goals since the Bruins game.

Honeymoon with Gus is over. Now we see why he’s a league minimum sign. Unless he puts up points, he’s shit.

So this is a guy who was worth a lot when Adam Fox was out because he got a lot more opportunities to put up points and played with more talented people on the ice in general.

Now however he is worth less because he doesn't have the opportunity to do the thing that he does well any more.

Or maybe everyone came down to earth, including Gus

I Don't really think he's shit, I just thought he was too high in his play had leveled off. I could have just as easily plussed the other guys.

If Gustafsson was out there on 1D with Lindgren next to him and was QBing PP1 nobody would have an issue with him.  He wouldn't be Adam Fox but he would be the next best thing just like he was when Fox was out.

Context matters and Gustafsson's game is pushing the puck up the ice and then playmaking in the offensive zone just like Fox's is.

Gus' foremost job is to defend

Zib with another goal and assist against Anaheim to continue a solid stretch of games.

Gotta add Edstrom in there somewhere.  He did get the critical goal when the Rangers were only up 3 with 3 seconds to play.  Never know what might have happened if not for that.

Edstrom logged less than 10 minutes of ice time but was noticeable when playing, ignoring the goal.  Generated a few shots.  At his size I hope he has a physical component to develop into a net front presence to create havoc in front of the goalie.

He's a center and he's breathing.  That's enough for now.  Bonino back to line 4 if we're lucky.
