You had to have a lot of cred with management to make the necessary move to get Tro and Laf on the same line.

GG wanted Panarin and Tro together.  He stuck with that pairing through a few real dry spells last season.  To get Laf on that line you have to move him to RW.

I'd love to know what the two spats GG and Drury had last year were about.  One regular season and then again in the playoffs.  One of the two went at the other hard twice and it would be very interesting to find out what the topic(s) were.

Were they? Or did they really just have a couple of stretches of good games at a lot of shit in between?

I drink too much to remember that far back.

I think it is pretty obvious. Gallant wanted pop tarts in the locker room between periods and Drury said no. Second issue had to do with toilet paper brand. GG is a ride or die for Charmin.

8 years 8 mill extension before it’s too late

No but really. At this point we’d be lucky because he’s proven he can play in the playoffs.

They can wait a year and give him 8 years $10M.

I think that's the choice now.  Going to have to pay him a fistful of dollars to stay around and the only question is whether it is a solid deal right now or a top 20 contract in 2025.

Oozes confidence lately. Love this kid.

Oozes confidence on the ice.  Same hesitant interview.  It's too soon for him to know he's an all-around great player.

Spent a lot of time last night as the guy coming back into the picture on defense and making a play.

Drury is too tough for Charmin. They're wiping their asses with leaves and pinecones.

Kid is shaping up to be a monster n I suspect leader in the locker room for years to come. Took a while to get his man body n confidence. This year it appears the juice was worth the squeeze. Love his game presently
