What GM who's been in place for nine months can this not be said of?

And how has he not shown he's smart? Got Gallant. Signed Fox and Zib to fair deals, signed Goodrow who's having a career year, got Reaves who everyone blows their load over when he high 5s someone.

He fucked up the Buch deal. That's his major fuck up.

The Buch trade is going to look bad, but I'm really not sure how it should be looked at..

1. Buch had to be moved- there wasn't a place for him at the table. All of the "Shouldn't have traded Buch" crowd is blending revisionist history with a clear misunderstanding of how a salary cap works.

2. If Blais doesn't tear a knee and is sitting at 20 points and providing a little more stability on that bottom 6, it doesn't look as bad.. But like they say-  If the Queen had a peter she'd be King.

3. I don't recall seeing any credible potential deals rumored that Drury opted for in favor of the St Louis deal.. Who knows what was out there, but this wasn't deal of want, it was a deal of necessity, and that may have impacted the return. Who knows.

Right. His team is consistently in first place. Like, how long are we gonna play this stupid game because a bunch of miserable people miss their magnet-collecting nerd king puppy dog? Let that shit die already.

If the Stars keep playing like they did tonight and start selling, I’d be all in on Joe pavelski too. He looks really good even in a game where the stars were awful. On the flip side, seguin looks done.

Miller is my first choice, but an absolute yes to Pavelski if he's available. Clutch player, brings veteran leadership and he's still producing like a mofo.

They really need to start making moves of any kind. The depth was already an issue but once these injuries happened, the need for more offense or something to change the momentum in games has really become a necessity.

They are one of two teams that have a shit ton of cap space, yet they have not made any trades or waiver pick ups. Gotta make a move of some sort at forward.

Agree. Sooner rather than later. Also give the new guys a little more time to adjust.

like 19 games to be played after the trade deadline, hard to give up futures for possibly 23 games... talk of players like Pavelski is pointless right now as Stars are likely a playoff team if the Oilers, Flames, Stars all had the amount of games played as LAK/ANA etc. and i think the Stars are well built for the playoffs and matchup well against LV/COL so them having a wild card slot is no bother to them.

They may still move Klingberg as they don't really need him so long as Heiskenen is healthy and neither do we... all the talk of trades must keep in mind the late deadline and teams who are truly not in contention. I'm not sure why any team with a chance would mail it in this year as there is to much parody that can happen with CV19 outbreaks within organizations, inconsistent goaltending on many top teams etc... we being one of the few teams getting consistent goaltending so long as he doesn't shred his groin.

Blais is fine, but he's always going to be hurt. His play is reckless... his body cant sustain that on-going punishment.

It was a cheap shot that ended his season

id like to see Subban blasted through the boards
