All NYC had to do was get the ball and clear it and the referee would have blown the whistle, but the Timbers kept possession and wound up tying it. Fiorentina happen to have Vlahovic, one of the most 'on-the-rise' strikers who won't renew his contract so he's going to move abroad. Allegedly Arsenal are targeting him and I think he'd fit the profile. We need a young, promising striker since Nketiah is leaving and Balogun needs a loan and playing time. Then Xhaka with the goddamn shirt tug, Gabriel getting sent off for two fouls leading to two yellows. No Odegaard penalty given. Shambolic refereeing cost us big today. We should have won. Outside of Xhaka's idiotic moment and Gabriel's red, the team played so well and put in a ton of effort. Hats off to them. NLD next, oh joy. Bring this and Tottenham won't know what hit them.
