Playoffs Rangers-Penguins Round One — General Series Thread

And yet as you said earlier, we have more to give and they don't. We could run out of time but a win tonight and I'm feeling pretty good. -
I love your type, should your team lose you disappear. Do you know what you're fighting for right now? The right to get thumped next round. BTW, when this cup run fails for your team....and it will...enjoy watching us in the Playoffs year after year while Crosby and Malkin approach their 40's Thanks for your "Class Act" contributions.

GDT 2021-22 ECQF #1: (2M) Rangers vs. (3M) Pittsburgh Penguins — to War!
Bieser replied to Phil's topic in New York Rangers
All very true. What hurts is how close we came to winning...and all this still being very true. -
Playoffs Rangers-Penguins Round One — General Series Thread

No conspiracy theory here. But it's possible the Rangers stunk up the building and the refs were bad at the same time. I think a few hits resulted in power plays that in my mind looked clean. It also seemed to take them away from the hitting that was so affective in the first period. Not completely. The Penguins probably created their own space too. It just seemed like it was being called a little tight. -

Some of us have made some posts filled with confidence. I just want to point out, should we lose, it's really not the posts that did it. Carry on. -

Not afraid to ask a stupid question but why is the thinking Chytil is 3rd line or benched? Can't he just flip spots with Goodrow? -

"Obviously, one of those fourth-line guys won't play Tuesday"....potentially, 2 or 3 of them won't play. -
Playoffs Rangers-Penguins Round One — General Series Thread

This year against Washington and Pittsburgh we've looked a step quicker. A lot of familiar names are 34 - 35 years old and I think that's the difference. Not implying anyone is washed up and experience matters too. I think coaching will be the difference. Our coach seems to approach every night the same. He's been that way all year and I think it will serve a young team well. -
GDT [RS] (#72) Rangers vs. Pittsburgh Penguins — Black & Gold Gonna Fold

You're not wrong but ...I've never been so confident going into a series with that team as I am this year. -

Speaking of specs, what's in that glass? Looks to be scotch. Not dark enough for bourbon. -
Crazy to think he was drafted in the 6th round. 199 overall. I wonder if he ever would have gotten a shot if Bledsoe never got hurt.

NFL Brian Flores Sues NFL, Claiming Bias in Giants Coaching Search
Bieser replied to Blue Heaven's topic in Other Sports
Kind of strange that the NFL makes a rule to interview minorities and now a team is being sued alleging they only interviewed him because he was a minority. If they had their minds made up for Daboll that's wrong but is it racist? Wasn't every interview a sham? -
No, not at all. The author wrote a memoir...and he helped Agassi write his.

Read the book years ago. It was really good. Found it after reading Andre Agassi's memoir and realized Moehringer helped him write it.

As someone who roots for the Yankees, Giants and Knicks....I never thought I'd say this.... but my best shot at a deep playoff run is the Knicks.

Grew up loving all sports. No money or resources for hockey. We played everything, including street hockey. I fell in love with the game. Not being the most talented guy, I liked how it rewarded hard work, vision, teamwork..anticipation. At 55 after raising 6 kids I started doing some things for me. I’m 1.5 years into lessons and what they call open shoot or stick and puck. My hockey goal is the C league. I feel like nobody loves it more. I never want to go home when I’m playing. I still can’t believe how encouraging everyone I meet is.

[brooks] Rangers, Jackets Could Battle Over Gallant
Bieser replied to Phil's topic in New York Rangers
Actually, the Knicks have. Free agents more so than coaching. But I believe it was more about winning than the city so I don't disagree with you completely. I think the larger market works for you more than against you. -
[tsn] Dreger: League-Wide Interest in DeAngelo; Trade Likely a Matter of Days
Bieser replied to Scott's topic in New York Rangers
Send him to the Blue Jackets. Him and Torts, now that's entertainment. -
Half of which happened before they gave him a contract. A good deal here is on them. I don't like the optics here...his actions are tolerable when he's nearing a point per game pace. Starts to suck and we waive him. I know that is not the case but when the time is right I hope they reveal more about it. Not sure if they're waiting to see if he's picked up or not.
