Those trades were driven by the coach. He wanted his guys. Keenan bugged Smith to no end. Smith gave in and it worked. Daniel Jones is guaranteed 40 million next year. Not sure they'd take a qb. They won't make the playoffs. They have the Eagles twice. They'll probably get 8-9-10 and that's fine. If they would draft properly that would be enough. 3 first round offensive lineman and the O Line stinks. Taking Jones too early when he's still likely to be there with their next pick. If you want a QB I think Jayden Daniels may be there and I have a hunch he's just as good. Reminds me of Hurts. Ride the wave and have fun. Like Herm Edwards said...." You play to win the game".

If Ottawa continues to be looking up in the standings I have to think (hope) Tarasenko gets moved and we are in on him. I think he fits system and the top line with his shoot first play.

Honestly I think he doesn't know that. Do you think he playing for his Rangers life? Do you think this preseason is the difference between 3rd line or top minutes? I'd wager he doesn't. Or he's too proud to admit it.

Without reading the whole article, my kneejerk reaction is "Good". There was a point in between periods of the devils series where I wanted a coach would have thrown the piano on top of them. It varies team to team. One or two people might have an issue, but nothing pointing to that yet. I doubt we end up with a culture issue.

I keep hearing things like this. Didn't Tarasenko turn down 6 mil per? Goodrow and Laf's money doesn't equal that. I know some of it is dreaming but am I missing something or does basic math say we can't afford him.

Agreed if Drury is on the fence. But if someone is not effective and the players like him you move on. There seems to be a group of coaches who were effective but loose the room quickly now days. I can't have guys hating the coach but enjoying playing for him is just icing on the cake.
