And benching Kakko for a Dryden Hunt equivalent like Leschyshyn

I'd rather play the Canes. We could roll either team or lay an egg. Why risk laying an egg to your hated rival?

GDT [RS] (#66) Rangers at Pittsburgh Penguins — Say Hi to Sully for Me
Bieser replied to Phil's topic in New York Rangers
I think there's a frustration level with Gallant and line shuffling because it's more or less his only coaching move and he goes to that well too often. I never understood how Panarin and Kane had such chemistry..as someone mentioned they're the same type of player. Maybe with Chicago's roster it worked better. My 2 cents is I like Krieder and Zib together. I think they do. I coached tennis for 15 years ( I know, nothing like hockey)...but I began to put more and more stock in pairing doubles teams that wanted to be together. Even if it didn't make a ton of sense on paper the dividends were there. -
GDT [RS #62] Rangers vs. Ottawa Senators — It's Showtime, Folks!

I'd go with Harpur. I also feel like the looked for 88 too much on that PP. Just play. -
K'Andre Miller Suspended for Three Games for Spitting on Drew Doughty
Bieser replied to Keirik's topic in New York Rangers
Agreed. You'd have people spitting and saying it was an accident. Which would be bad news for Brad Marchand -
...and usually involves a few strippers.

K'Andre Miller Suspended for Three Games for Spitting on Drew Doughty
Bieser replied to Keirik's topic in New York Rangers
After Schneider breaks his ankle in Hartford, Miller accidently spits on Kane. A fight ensues and Kane’s hip goes out. Drury says he told Miller if he saw his name in another headline he was releasing him. Miller lands in Philly because no one else wanted him. He pairs with DeAngelo but finally gets his puck back. -
Hopefully we're not done. A RW that bumps Vesey to the 4th line would be great. At the very least, slide Goodrow to C and pick up another 4 liner. We're not going to war with Leschyshyn are we?

Walker Rangers’ Pride Night About-Face Created Same Mess it Tried to Avoid
Bieser replied to Sod16's topic in New York Rangers
I think we're all missing the greater point here. We're 1-0 on pride night. Keep it going. -
If Kane comes here, he'll want to play with Panarin. At least that part of it is thoughtless. It's all price relative. I don't see him pigeon holing the Blackhawks...at least not publicly. I don't break the bank. A first rounder and a prospect not named Othmann.

Walker Rangers’ Pride Night About-Face Created Same Mess it Tried to Avoid
Bieser replied to Sod16's topic in New York Rangers
I recall Brooks and Mollie saying a few players told them they were surprised. That does not exclude the possibility that one of the Rangers players refused. If so, they may have made the decision to drop it rather than a player stand out?? -
Kane on NHL.com https://www.nhl.com/news/patrick-kane-jonthan-toews-on-trade-rumors/c-340453384 "We've had some discussions already, but probably more serious ones getting into the thick of it after the bye week break for us (Jan. 29-Feb. 6) when we come back," Kane said. "We've got a couple games left, focus on those, enjoy the break, and then after I think it'll start to get real." I wonder if Buffalo continues to push would he want to go home?

Jones proving Giant's front office wrong. They are going to have to pay him big time after denying to pick up his option. My only gripe with the Jones pick was you could have had him in the second round...and I still believe that to be true. Can't prove it at this point.

GDT [RS #37] Rangers @ Tampa Bay Lightning — Last One in 2022
Bieser replied to Morphinity 2.0's topic in New York Rangers
I agree whole heartedly. Our effort since early Dec has improved and I'm happy with it. If we miss a playoff spot I'll likely point to sleeping though November and losing to the Hawks and Ducks while blowing leads like the Oilers game. I didn't expect an ECF last year, yet somehow this year I did. Things in this league are volatile from year to year. I'm still hopefull. Only a lack of effort really dissapoints me. That and our top 10 picks of the last few years. -
GDT [RS #32] Rangers @ Philadelphia Flyers — Do Ya Get That, Tortsie?
Bieser replied to Phil's topic in New York Rangers
That's funny. You used Philly fans and happy in the same sentance. -
I'm going to show some of my hockey ignorance here but I'm curious of the answer. I've often wondered why defenseman like ADA ...guys who can score and move the puck but are liabilities defensively .... are not converted to a 4th or 3rd line winger. I know you want physicality there, but if you are good enough defensively to play even a 3rd pair in the NHL, can't you be good enough for that role?

Mercogliano Brennan Othmann, Will Cuylle Knocking on the Door
Bieser replied to jsm7302's topic in New York Rangers
He had a sick family member in a town close to the team he went to. Flint management spoke really well about him and the decision. -
Agreed. Let's hope Gallant reads the board too...it could happen.
