  1. For all of the talk about having Messier, Drury, Boyle or blast-from-the-past Moore or McTavish help with our FO proficiency, has any one of us ever read about that happening? The eye-test certainly would seem to confirm that it has not. This ailment has been symptom of our poor string of results for quite a while and this year is no different. Why do we seem to be stuck in this rut?
  2. So far, we've enjoyed the delivery foods with another box arriving today. Heck, add enough wine or beers and what's not to like?
  3. What happens on the stairs? No slippers? That's the trouble spot IMO.
  4. I agree with this. Lighting the lamp would go a very long way towards feeling much better about our recent 3-4 game's worth of progress.
  5. Agree. If you hit some of the plateaus like the first "1,000" or ten thousand or definitely by twenty thousand you likely creamed your jeans and cashed out. The dips were attractive enough to get on the roller coaster again. At $50K, I think that I missed the boat even if it goes to $100K from here. "Bitcoin topped $50,000 for the first time Tuesday, doubling in value in less than two months. The digital currency traded as high as $50,584.84, up about 5% for the day and more than 74% for the year, according to CoinDesk. The total market value of bitcoin in circulation rose to $940 billion. Bitcoin later receded from its high, recently trading near $48,962. The $50,000 level is an “emotional level for people in the space,” said Brian Melville, head of strategy at trading firm Cumberland. But it is also a simple result of supply and demand, he added. From August through December, about 150,000 new bitcoins were minted, he estimated. The firm calculated that about 359,000 bitcoins were bought in the same period, and that imbalance has continued in 2021. “It’s a really important metric to watch,” he added." https://www.wsj.com/articles/bitcoin-trades-above-50-000-for-first-time-11613479752?mod=hp_lead_pos1
  6. Glad for anyone who bought in early. I distinctly recall it being under 50-cents thinking I should take a flyer and drop $1,000 into the abyss. Too many articles at the time about unsafe sites, crypto-theft and unreliable trading platforms so I stayed away. Holy smoke what a ride for those not pussy. Is it time to "Short! Short! Short!" a la GameStop? *sarcasm*
  7. Once they drop the puck, somebody has to win the faceoff, right? I can see both centers standing there scrambling their sticks against each other and the puck not moving. Oh to be a Rangers fan!
  8. Patience, like your favorite beverage Jaeger...sip it nice and slow and you'll get there. NYR fans, we're going to get there...a parade is in our future.
  9. Agree that there was a better way to handle this but now the cat is fully out of the bag.
  10. I didn't fully appreciate Jags at first. I thought he was too slow, looked like he was lumbering around the ice. Man was I wrong. The puck had to be made of steel and his stick a magnet. How he was able to work turns in such tight spaces between 2 opposing players and still come away with the puck was pure magic. *applause*
  11. YES! This guy certainly has the look of a madman and thankfully, he can play hockey. I'm liking him more and more too. Reminds me of anthor Charles Manson-looking defenseman we had recently who also was a solid guy and who got it done quietly - Kevin Klein.
  12. Zib has been off. Panarin has been off. Heck, most of the offense has been off. Agree with Paddy that the D is taking shape. Our squad has played 3 very spirited games with solid effort. We?re skating. Is it just me or does the pace of play seem almost playoff-like? Up tempo, few whistles stopping play and quite recently more physical play. We should have won more than our record shows.
  13. Vodka - trade high now? Waaaaay premature IMO. Maybe a year from now when these young pups gel then we have that talk. Over drinks. A few of them. If we?re on the cusp it?s worthy of a look. But in the meantime, where?s the lighter? LOL
  14. Or, depending upon last night's score, breakfast.
  15. Play the same way we did last game with one MAJOR exception; This time score one more than they do.
  16. Anyone have D?Agostino Montepulciano? It?s slowly making its way up the Hudson Valley liquor stores. I?m game when I can find it. Director?s Cut by Francis Coppola is a good drink.
  17. Good to see you posting CCCP - feels like it's been a while. I'm partial to Chateauneuf du Pape with a thick a slab of good aged beef. Our go-to daily drinker is Apothic Red and the other varieties they offer including Dark or Inferno. I've been a WSJ Wine Club subscriber for a few years and have only had one, maybe two white wines that I have not liked out of over a dozen mixed cases of reds and whites. We'll go Hendrick's Gin some days too. My personal favorite is scotch in an Old Fashioned - the way my dad taught me to drink before heading off to college. While everyone was downing beers, I was the lone Dewar's & Soda guy. To this day, that drink reminds me of a party.
