  1. Start of the next NYR season and it's time for a pre-game meal. We postponed our wings-n-beers until this weekend so...tonight is grille time. Marinated chicken breasts (bone and skin on) seasoned simply; oil, S&P, garlic powder and some mint Cubed sweet potatoes tossed in olive oil and tumeric. Loosely wrapped in heavy duty foil for the grille. Vegetable mix; onions, zucchini and carrots pan saute Some chilled Chenin Blanc is ready to flow. LGR! PS - I couldn't find the old Dinner Thread to *bump*
  2. The 'next' dealer you plan on acquiring a car from will likely be very happy to help you in order to make the sale/lease with their brand. They may be willing to even take the car in early like 1-3 months before the lease is due. My dealer begins contacting me 4-5 months before the termination date and are ready to 'work a deal' to get me into another one of their cars. Over the mileage? Don't worry too much about that if 1) you are going with the same brand they can be quite flexible, or, 2) it's a different brand they will be willing to work with you however possible to make the sale/lease. I'm not a dealer but do a bit of both buying and leasing. Everything is negotiable even when they say it's not. Look at it as a game to play and have fun.
  3. Feels so damn good to have hockey again. Let?s Go Rangers!! Ozzy with wood...G1000 killing us...Blair speaking truths...life has meaning again.
  4. K?Andre good read. ?MADISON, Wisconsin -- K'Andre Miller, a sophomore defenseman for the Wisconsin Badgers' men's hockey team, has a star quality about him that is unmistakable, whether he's on the ice or off. The New York Rangers noticed it, too. They took Miller with their second of three first-round picks in the 2018 NHL draft, at No. 22 overall, making him a key piece in the early stages of the team's accelerated rebuild.? https://www.espn.com/nhl/story/_/id/27920003/kandre-miller-unique-path-becoming-top-rangers-blue-line-prospect
  5. I?m going to check this out tonight @6PM. Celebrate Hockey Week in New York with a special Town Hall presented by Chase. Tune in: https://www.youtube.com/nyrangers https://www.facebook.com/nyrangers
  6. I?ve seen enough bankruptcy in my auction work to keep me on the straight and narrow financial path for ten lives. NYS Lottery winner who bought ?all? of his friends motorcycles so they could tour together. But some of them worked so he paid them not to. We sold plenty of garage toys when that one hit the fan. Another example was a child of a CA Lottery winner. She spent her share down to ?0? in less than two years. How? Flying friends to Las Vegas and giving them money to gamble with. Yup, that kind of dumb. It?s easy to out-spend your income when your head gets too big for your wallet. Add gambling to the mix? If that was Kane?s weakness then he could have signed a $100M contract and it still would have all blown up. ?Bigger money, bigger problems? is truth for some people. Craig Carton from WFAN fame had his own nightmare. There are plenty of examples. Kane didn?t help himself with those pictures of him using ?mad stacks? as a cell phone or as a massage tool. Yeah those pics made him a tool. Gambling can lead to addiction. For everyone he owed money to I hope he recovers for them and himself. Looks like he?s heading to discharge debt though...ugh.
  7. Music is always a good option. I played in band and orchestra throughout my school years and recall most vividly getting totally lost in the orchestra music. Whenever we practiced or performed shows it transported me to places otherworldly. Geeky? Maybe so but I really liked how the instruments would ?talk? to one another throughout the piece we were playing. I realized typing this that maybe I?ve found why Grateful Dead jam-band style has become some of my most favorite things to listen to (and Pink Floyd) because of that transportive quality.
  8. The coffee brewing setup in ?Breaking Bad? when Walt gets that huge cooking setup under the laundry is cool.
  9. The way this season will begin, it throws fans right into the action too. Usually we get to see a little bit of camp, then the requisite pre-season games. Now, it's going feel like hitting the top of the roller coaster sitting in the front seat and you finally open your eyes after the long climb up. That said, I'm ready for it!! LGR! :pbjtime: PS - Beers and wings for the first game? My son is banking on it. LOL (At home)
  10. Bowen?s face along with quite a few others told a story - this is hugely meaningful. Bigger outside the USA by an order of magnitude. I?m interested to see TV ratings if they?re released tomorrow. Overall I bet it will be impressive as hockey fans everywhere got to see some hi-skill action. But I expect USA numbers to be unimpressive too.
