Patience should be our team motto this coming season. IF there is a magical, miraculous happening where NYR go on a run and blast through the league with wins, we should NOT jump the gun and over-pay for the odd piece or two at the deadline. JD has espoused a strategy of deliberate and consistent growth for the long-haul. My fandom is a long-haul view. I'd much rather build a team that goes on a Red Wings-like run or replicates past NYR team playoff appearances for multiple years instead of a sudden grab at the brass ring. Deliberate. Steady. Focused. Patience.

Man I hope not. Not even for free. I?ve given a friend of mine who?s a B fan so much crap over the years about this guy pushing a walker on the ice...if he become a NYR my friend would razz me mercilessly. No geriatrics. Just say no.

The test has been completed. Alonso with the best time (1.36.333), P1. He has done 104 laps. Ocon and Ricciardo did 1.36.4 in qualifying.

ALO having a blast - and that sound - ahhhhhh, music to the ears! Abu a bit of a snoozer following some really fun races this year and the Bahrian circuit the last two weeks. Glad for VER having a great weekend and for Red Bull to have momentum going into the winter. 96-days to FP1 in Australia. M-B finishing 1-2 was not wholly unexpected but their lack of pace was. ALB with a good showing and a pretty solid drive today. McLaren are stoked! great way to finish the season and with the extra money they attracted they should be in a good position for the future. Ferrari? OMG what a shitshow. The team needs a re-boot, kick in the ass, match, or something else entirely. I'm hoping they regain their footing because it would be a waste of talent to whittle away the years of LEC and his talent. Lots of driver shuffle in the paddock between now and 'Lights Out' and I'm all in for it.

When LEC had that incident on the first lap I told my son that he came into the corner a bit too hot and the overtake was a risk that failed. He didn?t see it that way but the replay confirmed it. Could he have been given I little room into the apex? Ok. But everyone is looking for that same advantage. This gamble wasn?t smart.
