Igor and Soroykin are both KHL alumns so the 2nd part of your argument is a bit ...wrong.

Cool.  Neither one of them was in net though.  Joni Orito was after spending 5 years in the AHL and failing to become even an NHL backup.  We also have a GDT full of posts about how bad Koskinen is...the same guy that split the net with Shesty in the KHL and had great stats there.

Rykov is a top pairing KHL dman, couldn't earn a look here over Hajek.

Yes the goal looks impressive.  We also know the defense and goal tending are suspect and he can't do that in an NHL game.

Then McDavid & Tkachuk put in goals "You cant do in an NHL game" back to back nights lmfao

The NHL is less physical than a Bantam game circa 2000. That's not hyperbole, it's the truth. They've been subtle about it, but it's been a pretty steady march to eliminating overt physical punishment at all levels.

You can basically do whatever you want out there.

So now Krav is McDavid?  That's the argument here?  Anything McDavid can do Krav can do better?

now your trying to put words in peoples mouths to make your point, no one said that but you said stuff like that cant be done in the NHL yet it just got done on us on back to back nights. So ill just stop responding to you at this point.

Unless Blais is your teammate.

What are they doing with him?

Anyone see his play last night in the KHL.

I believe he'd be a 40 goal guy in the NHL. They need to figure something out and get him back to NY

Maybe one day.  That's what everyone thought about Kakko when he scored 6 goals in 10 games at the WC.  Too bad Krav refused a conditioning assignment or he could be trying to go between the legs in the NHL right now.

Run Away GIF

he ran home twice now essentially quitting on the team and his chances here the last two years.  Unfortunate because the team lacks so much on so many fronts. He couldn't possibly be any worse than way more than half of the forwards offensively that what we continue to roll out there every night. But he refused to put in the work, twice.

Actually he didn’t say stuff like that can’t be done, he said that Kravtsov can’t do that in an NHL game.  You just compared him to the best player in the NHL, amazing

It's too bad the Organization has different standards, and stories, for seemingly every prospect in the pipeline, or they may have been able to provide him some straight answers, and their best forward prospect four years in to a rebuild wouldn't be some third line project at Providence. 🙃

Kravtsov THINKS he is. Acts like he is. Guess we'll never know. Just keep sending him to Hartford.  It's been so productive for all involved.

Or maybe they have a different answer because all of these kids are individuals with a specific set of circumstances that only apply to them.

Awesome.  Trouba THINKS he's Chris Pronger.  What now?

Drury thinks he's  Lou Lamoriello. What now? We can do this for ever.

Kravstov believed he should have been given a spot on a top line. Looking at the roster and how shitty the offense has been.  He wasn't fucking wrong.  What now?

If only he would have accepted his assignment to Hartford and not been a whiny bitch.... He'd be here by now.

The "If he just went to the AHL he would be playing 1st line minutes now" argument is so funny.

What proof do you have for that? Do the past treatment of prospects make you think a guy that didn't make the team would be playing NHL 1st line a month later?

They took Gauthier and Hunt over him, its that simple. I don't see why that would change after 1 month, but if that's the case it just shows how wrong they were in the first place. Its not like he was injured for 6 months and needed time to get back. He even played the last pre season game, scored a goal and looked good.

Why didn't Kakko have to go down for some "conditioning" after his injury? It was as long as Kravtsov's and he has 0 points in 8 games now. Where's the Kravtsov treatment here?

I guess they wanted to turn Kravtsov into another Jesper Fast Lite like they did with Kakko. Luckily for him he escaped this black hole for forward prospects before that happened.

Your argument of "they took Gauthier and Hunt over him, its that simple" is flawed and incredibly reductive because it's not that simple. They weren't competing for the same role. Try and think it through...If they took Kravtsov over Hunt and played Kravtsov in Hunt's role...That would make him a 4th liner and Kravtsov would still be whining about his role.

If Kravtsov saw himself as a top 6 wing, then the fact is he didn't beat out anyone for those jobs.

It's a pretty simple conclusion to come to that if he were still in the org, he'd have gotten a shot (assuming he performed in the AHL). If you think the team intended to have Rooney as a 3rd liner and Goodrow in the top 6, then I don't know what to tell you other than that obviously was not the plan.

"That would never work against NHL defenders"

- People that watch Trouba and Miller getting humiliated 82 games a year

Why couldn't Kravstov do that last season in the AHL? Or in the NHL when he was playing against 4th liners?

Hunt has played more top 9 than 4th line minutes and Gauthier has only been played in the top 9 when he's been in. They are all right wings. How did they not compete for the same spot lol.

I don't care what "the plan" was. This is the situation we're in now and its the front office fault. They traded away Buch to give Kravtsov (and Kakko) top 6 roles, then they got rid of Krav and now they're fucked because the only "legit" top 6 RW they have right now is a guy with 0 points after 9 games playing with a top 5 player in the league. And that's how we end up with Goodrow in the top 6 and Hunt in the top 9.

Because he played approx 10 minutes per game for 20 games playing with DiGiuseppe, Howden and McKegg. 0 PP time and 0 minutes of overtime.
