josh
Collision looked almost accidental, and either way, it’s a obstruction penalty. Not sure how hitting someone accidentally from behind qualified as what we need from a captain Sent from my iPhone using Blueshirts Brotherhood mobile app powered by Tapatalk How is that obstruction? Puck Head
How is that obstruction? Good call, i didn?t see puck. But point still remains Sent from my iPhone using Blueshirts Brotherhood mobile app powered by Tapatalk
Mike
It's the style of play. Smallish, all around player who brings energy. That's what callahan was. It remains to be seen if he's more skilled then Cally was. If he isn’t more skilled than Callahan, he should just burn his fuckin gear now and end it. I hope he is, and I think he projects to be, but Callahan has had a good NHL career and was a very useful piece to a successful team here.
Phil
He also wasn't taken seventh overall. If Callahan is what Andersson ends up as, the Rangers whiffed. The Dude
Andersson ='s intangibles. Hated the pick. But he threw his medal. Wooooooo eeeeeeee.

josh
“Rangers suck at drafting” “We need more draft picks! Tank so we get top 5!” But it’s less than a year since he was drafted. He put up decent numbers in all of his hockey this year, no?
ThirtyONE
The more I read about him....the more I think we whiffed. I mean reading about him at this point doesn't make sense. We'll see soon enough if we whiffed or not.
josh
SHL Ranked #2 ppg among players under 20 10th among 24U AHL Ranked 3rd among ppg for U20 Internationally he did very well. And this was during an exhausting draft year that included injuries, playing in 3 different leagues and playing international competitions. Sent from my iPhone using Blueshirts Brotherhood mobile app powered by Tapatalk Difference between Andersson and Callahan being that Lias brings game first (projected to be slightly more productive than Stepan) then intangibles. Callahan is intangibles plus... shot blocking?

josh
Might as well enjoy it for the next few seasons. Or, we can package a trade for a defenseman??? And Stepan and Krejci would easily be first round picks in redrafts.
Fatfrancesa
They’d both probably be top 10 picks in their draft years
Pete
Krejci maybe. Stepan not a chance. Not even close. No one is taking a top-tier second line player with their top 10 draft pick.

Fatfrancesa
Go back to his draft year. In a redraft his close to top 10 easily.
Zuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuc
I would take Step top 10 in a redraft. Only players Id take before him is Stamkos, Doughty, Pietrangelo, EK, Josi, Holtby, Atkinson and Carlson. https://www.draftsite.com/nhl/redraft/2008/ Here is a redraft. They have him at 14th. If he ends up like Stepan we should be okey with that. He's a solid 1B/2A+ center. Cant expect a franchise center at 7th overall.
