Pete
He was 34 and had just inflated his stats by playing in the most offensive two years of stats in 30 years. At 34 players start a steep decline statistically which is what happened to Nylander. And since when do fans run a player out of town? AliveIn94
Cody McLeod has been decent as a Ranger. Sent from my [device_name] using http://Blueshirts Brotherhood mobile app powered by Tapatalk
Shane Falco
Why don't you ask Malik, Rozsival and Nedved... First guy I thought after reading puckface's comment. I remember going to a few games and he'd get booed so heavily. Felt terrible for the guy.
Fatfrancesa
The rangers defensive zone coverage and lack thereof over the past three years is absolutely on the coach. Even talentless teams can learn to defend. No matter the roster this team plays with very little structure Pretty sure 400 seats don’t exist anymore. Those fans are highly endangers anyway as the pricing continues to climb. Not sure how they are a problem. A bigger problem to me is that msg is a morgue. Hard to find a worse atmosphere in the nhl outside of Arizona and Miami
Slobberknocker
MSG is a corporate cave now. Stopped going to games cause it would flip my stomach hearing the dribble that came out of some mouths.

Fatfrancesa
Look what Vegas is doing with the playoffs. They are offering season ticket holders massive discounts on playoff tickets in return asking for a “vow”. That vow is they will be unable to sell their tickets on secondary markets keeping their building full of their fans. Season ticket holders can opt out and pay more keeping the ability to sell on stub hub and the like. This is coming from an owner who just spent $500m for the team but he wants his team to have a distinct home ice advantage and wants to reward the loyalty from his season ticket holders. He’s not chasing every penny. He’s concerned with providing the biggest edge his team can get and at the same time rewarding their customers. This idea is so foreign to our rangers and their owner. Even talentless teams can learn to defend. No matter the roster this team plays with very little structure Exactly.....No structure/no system/no line matching...no finishing checks/tic-tac-toe passing in the offensive zone/no shots on goal/no puck support... Tired of it...He sucks....600 wins is the biggest mirage ever. I think his teams win "in spite of him" instead of "because of him". There's going to be a day when this guy is gone...be it this season or next. But sooner or later this team is going to learn that this isn't THE GUY. He's nice, he's funny, he's got the media by the balls....yup. He's not going to win playoff games, especially BIG playoff games with this guy....or hasn't he proven that already?? Blame the players all you want, it's the flawed philosophy/system that dooms them in the first place!

He's making a PR move with playoff revenue that they never would have seen coming. It's the same as businesses saving millions with new tax breaks and giving employees a $100 bonus. No professional sports franchise owner gives a shit about building a home ice advantage unless it means profits. They already increased prices for season tickets next year. https://www.reviewjournal.com/sports/golden-knights-nhl/golden-knights-raising-season-ticket-prices-for-2018-19/ Also - this is not on-thread, try to be mindful of that in the future. Mike
My take is that this will still be a rebuild on the fly, and they will do everything possible to not suck next year.

Blame the players all you want, it's the flawed philosophy/system that dooms them in the first place! There's an old SEALs adage that says, "There are no bad teams, only bad leaders." I'm currently reading a book called Extreme Ownership and it's funny you bring up blaming the players. Basically the first step to Extreme Ownership is blaming yourself, not other people. It's the first step to being a good leader. Blaming Hank for not playing well is basically the antithesis of that.

I don't think you'd have to dangle more than a 4th for his rights. And even that might be an over-payment.
