Kevin
McKenzie saying Libor Hajek, Brett Howden, Vladislav Namestnikov, 1st, 2nd. So basically Namestnikov, Howden and a 1st for McD and Hajek and a 2nd for Miller? That doesn't sound good enough.

Kevin
Gotta hand it to Yzerman. He said he wasn't going to trade Point, Sergachev or Foote and he didn't cave.

torontonyr
Miller -> Namestnikov McDonagh -> 1st, 2nd, Howden, Hajek. It's a solid deal just devoid of the sexy names

BrooksBurner
Miller for Namestnikov is a wash. Mcdonagh had to bring back more "can't miss" potential. Doesn't seem like they accomplished that. Rangers lost this trade from a value standpoint. We obviously will not know the results of this trade for a while, but today it stings. torontonyr
Yeah, it's a big return. Howden could be a 1C for ten years here. Howden is basically the Canadian Andersson with more size.
Valriera
I’m just happy these two are gone. These are big names to be trading and it signals that management has put their money where their mouths are and moved on. Bottom line is the team hasn’t been nearly good enough for many years and this is a nice reset to some core pieces. Let’s hope these guys we got back can do something. NYR2711
What's the conditions on the 2nd round pick? This is what I was wondering too. None of them are UFA’s, it must be based on how deep they go in the playoffs.
