  1. Obviously JT is a top tier talent. The point of the post was agreeing that it isn't necessary to worry about replacing Kreiders production.
  2. Look at the Isles losing JT. I'm sure they thought they needed to replace his production but would ya know....they made due. Pretty well too. Addition by subtraction.
  3. Just checked this guy out. Seems like a good pick up. He play physical or is he marek malik (giant with no physicality)?
  4. Agreed. Just goes to show, teams are willing to invest in that one year simply because top 6 centers aren't easy to come by. Show me a 50 point winger that commanded 7mil after one good season.
  5. Really? Ryan Strome is having a career year and some here even dispute his ability as a top 6 center. We got lucky.
  6. Hayes is a top 6 center, much harder to come by than a 50 point winger. CK gets 6mil/5 years.
  7. Am I remiss to think Byfuglien was a similar situation?
  8. Very good; obviously no quotes from the team indicating anything, but still interesting to see it being thrown out there. I think it's a smart organizational play although not popular among those whom seem Lundquist deserves more respect. It's the best business decision. Will he really sit on the bench happily for a year and a half picking up scrap games here and there? Maybe but I'd think he may at least think about waiving.
  9. https://elitesportsny.com/2020/01/18/new-york-rangers-goalies-henrik-lundqvist-needs-to-be-odd-man-out/amp/ https://nypost.com/2020/01/18/rangers-henrik-lundqvist-dilemma-nearing-eli-manning-level/amp/ Its mentioned in the first article and the last article more of an underlying tone regarding the number of games he has sat in the second article. I feel like it is gaining a little traction.
  10. Two articles written about Hank getting iced to push him to waive his NTC.
  11. Agree with no more buyouts. How do we keep rolling offensively and build a defensive system without sacrificing O? Build up the bottom 6 with responsible defensive forwards and a bonafide stay at home D man?
  12. It's all good. Just thinking of options because losing our two promising goalies isn't the best scenario just to appease the old guard. They gave him an immovable contract and begs the question; how can they proceed without screwing the new team. Answer would be dealing Hank but obviously on his terms. Sending away Georgiev isn't the best scenario but is the most likely to occur. We better get a haul for him though because he is the only goalie who has proven their worth at the NHL Level this far.
  13. Would hank play for NJ? He could live in NYC and give the Devils some stability in net. Unorthodox but so is having old faithful under contract with two up and comers on his tail who will be the next generation goalies for this team. They need to entice him with an in division trade or send him somewhere pretty like San Jose.
  14. This guy.....how can you argue against keeping him. It's a no brainer...he keeps making his case stronger.
  15. Well.....I'll get the popcorn....and watch this play out.....I see some penalties coming to him for these comments.
  16. I just dont see the negative with some AHL time. It's a development league. Look at Chytil after he went down. I think it's a good thing.
  17. Why do you hate it that much? You dont think it drives teams to win in regulation instead of playing for OT or a shootout? I never really thought about it before but now that I am...seems to kind of make sense.
