I wanted to love it. Maybe I'm ignorant, what is the story behind 3 stars?

gdt: [RS] (#4) Rangers at Pittsburgh Penguins // Penguin Season

Been happy with Troubas play this year also. He looks more comfortable; hopefully it continues and he gets to lead a bit. Kreider....meh....that deal will be the new albatross. -

[lebrun] "No Question" Rangers to Check in on Pierre-Luc Dubois
jsm7302 replied to LindG1000's topic in New York Rangers
I dont want this guy. What kind of character does this show? On our young team? No flippin way. Hard pass. -
I'll be trying that this week. We also do Hello Fresh. Our kids generally don't eat it but we get the 4 person meals for 2 days per week. We always have leftovers and it saves us from buying lunch or ordering out. We have definitely saved $$. Cost is like $8 per serving which you absolutely could not do when ordering these meals from a restaurant.

Our D looked horrendous. Millers maiden voyage looked like his first game which is not what you want to say. Definitely had some jitters but that is to be expected. Tony D needs to play; he makes the team better. Without him, they will plug some hole filler in. This is getting old. I want to win again.

Leading by committee only works with individuals whom possess leadership qualities. The work horse whom is a good example to follow isn't necessarily a leader. The leading scorer is not necessarily a good leader. I dont see much of an outspoken individual whom holds his teammates accountable in this group. Someone better step up and fill the role or this bottom of the barrel mediocrity will continue. The comment that it is more for the fans is a sign that he isnt leading anything.

gdt: [RS] (#1) Rangers vs. New York Islanders // Release the Mantis!

This is exactly how they looked against Carolina. Im scared.... What the hell are we in for? -
I've got 3 kids. 6 year old girl, 4 year old boy and 1 year old girl. I work shiftwork alternating nights and dayshifts (7-7) every two weeks. I assume house leagues are a little less demanding than travel leagues. My closest rink is 30 minutes away. It is hard to plan for anything with the ever changing COVID regulations. Learn to play is open for the lil guy, maybe ill give that a go and see what happens from there.

My parents didn't have much $$ growing up so I only got to play roller hockey. I loved it and was grateful for the opportunity to play. I still play inline to this day and I'm in my mid 30's now. I always thought if I had a son, I would undoubtedly get him into ice and give him every opportunity to succeed and take it as far as his talent and work ethic would allow. Now that he is turning 5 and the past year was a wash due to COVID, im not sure I want to make the commitment of all weekends and weekdays heading to the rink for practices, games and tournaments. Talk me into it or talk me out of it...either way. I wanna hear what you all have to say about your experiences.

confirmed: Evander Kane Files for Bankruptcy with $26.8 Million in Debt
jsm7302 replied to Phil's topic in Hockey Around the Globe
I'll never understand bankruptcy.....how do you not understand how to spend responsibly? If you cannot pay for it then save. I just don't get it. I also don't understand how you can go through a bankruptcy and be absolved of your debt. -
I like the idea of activities that I can control and not have it be a huge commitment with time and travel. Skiing, golf and music all seem to be fitting. My daughter tried dance and didn't love it. She liked cheerleading and wants to try gymnastics. My son wants to play hockey and tried soccer but didn't love it. I'm not really comfortable with anything inside at this point but plan to sign my son up for t ball this spring.

confirmed: 2021 Training Camp: Up to 36 Skaters; Unlimited Goalies

That would be something....stepping into the #1 pair. -
What kinds of activities do you guys have your kids enrolled in? I've got 3 young kids, 2 girls and a boy. I want to get them involved in some things so they can discern which activities they enjoy and want to continue further. So far the wife and I have brainstormed playing an instrument, girl/boy scouts, gymnastics, jiu jitsu, sports. I dont know what we will end up signing them up for but coming from a family that didn't have much $$ growing up, I want to give them every opportunity to try things. Looking forward to hearing some thoughts from you guys.

This is typical NY team in on the big name player. Can't imagine this is even in the thoughts and minds of our front office. Stacking the roster with big names isn't going to bring chemistry. This team has the building blocks with some good budding vet presence in the locker room. They need chemistry to develop not another big name.

confirmed: Ryan Callahan Announces NHL Retirement
jsm7302 replied to Phil's topic in Hockey Around the Globe
One of my favorite Rangers of the past 20 years along with Dan Girardi. No wonder how I became a Tampa fan too for a short stint. Congrats Captain Cally. Thanks for all you did building this franchise back to legitimacy before your departure. Come back and be an assistant to Quinn. -
I would be interested in free or incentivized.

If a spot opens, I would like a chance to get in.

I'm a fan of the democratic process. Let the team vote in the next captain. -
