So, how do people feel about employers not being able to see and know about criminal records? A travesty? This kid was 14. If you all never sat in detention or got suspended in school then good for you. I certainly learned some lessons during that time. None of us can judge this fella through news reports.

Amazing. The transgressions of a fourteen year old will redirect the outcome of this young man's life. Is the Criminal Justice system not about reforming and redirecting individuals to become contributing societal members? His talent should be pushed aside and ignored because he made a poor peer pressured choice as a young teen? You guys are tough. I'm all for second chances and supporting positive change in people. Is this the new normal? Make a mistake and lest it never be forgiven and forgotten but instead let you never live it down. Im out.

I love it. League trend? I wanna see a blacked out Kraken jersey. -
No one moves the needle for me. At all. However, I could pick numerous names from that D list whom I wouldve pursued prior to Jack Johnson.

Laf move to Center a possibility?

I agree Strome deserves a raise but Tony D was 3rd in points at his position with no reason to believe he isnt trending up towards a productive career at 24 years old (increase in points every year). This is very different than a 27 year old with a plateau of 30 points for most of his career having a career year with an MVP candidate on his line. It is like comparing apples to oranges. I agree he should be paid, just not overpaid with high expectations. I've been doing background investigations for ten years and one thing I've learned is not to try and reason why things look a certain way on paper; just take it at face value and move on. Strome @ 4.5/ 2 years is pretty decent but if he returns to a 30 point center, we only have to deal with it for 2 years.

Strome is a 30ish point player. How much do you commit to that? He isn't an annual 50+ point player. DeAngelo was top 3 at his position in points for 1 year and took a 2 year 4.8 deal. No way Strome gets above 5 but again.....how much do you commit to a 30 point player? One year of decent numbers doesn't make you worth that. Make it an annual occurence and then have some expectation.

Bring him in. Hell....him and Jack Johnson can talk bout the days of old and how this millenial generation is ruining things. Hard pass. -
article: Why the Rangers Had to Let Jesper Fast Go in Free Agency
jsm7302 replied to BrooksBurner's topic in New York Rangers
Well I like the justification. What I dont like is the bodies picked up to fill holes. We will wait and see but damn, you have to hope their is at least one trade for the back end and the pivot position before 1/1/21. -

This is possibly the most disappointing day for free agent signings in recent history. Haha I guess I'll continue to cut the cord and won't be getting cable back for next season either.

rumor/report: Blue Jackets Considering Buyout of Alexander Wennberg
jsm7302 replied to Phil's topic in Hockey Around the Globe
I think it would be nuts to miss out on this opportunity. He was never a goal scorer but if he can dish to ALF on the third or Bread on the 2nd then who are we kidding? This is a huge risk/opportunity for a huge payoff. I dont see what we lose for jumping on this. -

confirmed: Rangers Trade Lias Andersson to LAK for 60th Pick in 2020

Glad he is gone. I consider Chytil our win in that draft (hopefully he continues to develop- the creativeness is there) Kid is whiny and entitled. C ya Lias. Enjoy the AHL.
