QUOTE(S) TO NOTE:

“They’re looking for two points. I guarantee and promise you we’re looking for two points, as we were the other night. I know because of that it could be a good game, a competitive, spirited game.”

- Peter Laviolette, who will totally instruct Matt Rempe not to do anything; totally

Important to come out today and play the right way, and if we do there’s no chance this islanders team has any ability to beat us.

But it’s also important for Rempe

to come out and beat the living shit out of their team, just in case the message is important for the first round

Rempe should be in every home game. It's an automatic way to kickstart the crowd and get them behind the team, just throw him out whenever the building is lethargic or the play is being carried by the other team.

Need instant momentum? Just add Rempe.

This game is 100% a message sent either way. Can't wait to see us show up for 60 and smash em!

Most important game of the year for many reasons. For starters, you have to put the fear of God into this team that they don’t want to see you come playoffs. Secondly, and more importantly, we have control of our own destiny today. A win today sets us up to finish the season with accolades they have earned and deserved based on their play all year. Given how strong they have been in MSG, I’d like to see them lock it up and have home ice until they win it or get bounced. A loss today sets us up to be looking across at our opponent in a week and also loses us so much of what we’ve earned all season. Go out there and step on their throats right at puck drop and don’t stop for 60.

RANGERS FANS IN REMPE WE TRUST

Play it smart kid and you’ll dominate for years to come. Enforcer who changes the way teams skate when you’re on the ice. Setting yourself up in front of the opposing teams net and having them adjust just at just 21 years of age and not a full season under him yet!!! Imagine what this kid can do when molded and reaches his full potential. NHL has been warned theirs a new kid in town, and his name Matt Rempe. Sleep tight mother fuckers!

But great, hold one of their best players out. Some kill Barzal or Horvat.

At first,  I thought he was protecting him from revenge. But their season is on the line and he's one of their best players.

This is a big plus for the Rangers to have the Isles best defenseman out.

Beat the shit out of them. Take it to their shitty D men. This is almost being handed to the Rangers with Dobson out.

Nothing is handed to the Rangers, they need to take it one game at a time. They'll need 18 more wins, getting one today is a good start. Failure is not an option....

LFGR!!!!

Well yeah. Obviously nothing should ever be considered an automatic. The Rangers need to take advantage of the Isles missing their best D man though.

This is a test of their fortitude.  They must do what is expected. I expect them to win this game.  The Isles missing their best D man is a Ranger advantage. A big one. It's not often that the Rangers capitalize on such an  advantage. They have played down to some inferior opponents. It can't happen today.
