The bad habits from last year have slowly but surely seeped back in to the locker room. Way too passive. If that first unit isn’t going to shoot, it needs to be broken up. Everything is designed to get Mika his one timer but in the meantime every other shot is passed up.

Wasn’t Schneider’s side…Miller got beat and Schneider had to cover for him…not much more he could do there against McKinnon…that play was blown at center ice by Miller…we were always taught as defensemen, when you’re out there against someone with that kind of puck handling skill and speed, you just worry about getting in his way…you can’t out puck a guy like that…Miller should have just gotten in his way and let someone else grab the puck.

The Av's are faster, which is not unusual this year.  They're more skilled, which *is* unusual.  And they're taking shots off of their opportunities.

 

This is a good game for us to watch at this point.  If we can hang with the Av's and pull out a point maybe the Rangers are worth boosting.   If we can't they're definitely not because we're going to face a team like this in the finals if we get there.

Fair enough. Just felt Schneider could have closed the gap a bit more considering the speed of the player coming in.
