That's not what I meant. You get your moves refreshed every game, but it doesn't mean you have to make the moves in a vacuum based on one game. If that were the case, we might as well not have these rankings and just have everyone pick their stars of the game.  Sorry, but that's never really been how people have generally operated in here. There are lots of moves made that are "he's been really good lately". Those are the smart moves. The bad moves are moving Motte over Miller because he had an anomaly game.

The bad moves are moving your favorite player up after a fourth line player dominated the offense for the bottom six in the same game.

You're playing favorites, hard stop.

You're so cute when you get mad from being wrong

You're so ugly when you Don't know how wrong you are. That explains your lack of cuteness and your luck that I'm a dumpster diver

Where does it say it’s daily? That’s your interpretation. There’s definitely a “what have you done for me lately” factor, but that could be a culmination of the last few games, which is generally how I approach it.

It's not literally daily, but it's absolutely a live, per game format. If you don't want to move players based on single game sample sizes, that's totally fine, but the way Josh set this up, it's designed to change on the fly following each game.

I haven't checked this thread in a minute, but there is no way by any stretch of the imagination even with recency bias that Miller should be this low.

In principle I agree with the statements above however this team has a *lot* of players who are great at the role they play.  I was looking 1-21 and it's hard to find fault with anybody.

I'm not 100% sure that Miller is more valuable than Schneider at this point and that's taking nothing away from Miller.

Yup. This team is so stacked at the moment and everyone are playing at or close to their best. Schneider is 2nd last and Vesey is 3rd last. They don't deserve that, but honestly no one does lol.

Only 2 games obviously, but Miller leads the team in TOI by over a minute. It's hard to overstate how valuable it is to have a minute-eating, reasonably solid defenseman with some upside.

I mean they gotta be ranked somewhere - there are no ties. Everyone is tied for 1st in my heart! LOL (Except for Laf)

Miller has been the worst defenseman we’ve got the first two games. Game 1 was especially brutal out of him.

If Miller's play the first two games is truly our worst then we're winning a cup this year.

I said the same thing after G1 somewhere around here.

He’s not been good recently though, which is what the rankings are about. I don’t know how he gets a +1 after last night, especially over Kreider, Kane, Tarasenko, Goodrow, etc. after the games they had. Smells like favoritism.

Because he's too low relative to his importance to the team. Phil even said it 2 months ago. His impact is underrated in these power rankings.

I am LOL. Schneider has 2 RD ahead of him and plays sheltered minutes.

Miller plays top minutes, produces, and who else is on LD? Mikkola and Harpur? Not who I'd want moving up in the playoffs.

Miller also doesn't have the luxury of playing with a steady partner.

What does that have to do with anything? This is an exercise in recency bias, as I've been told, and Miller has not been good. That's all it comes down to.

Because despite his poor play, he continues to eat more minutes than anyone else on the team - which might also contribute to the opportunity for more mistakes.
