at least he'd of dropped the gloves not getting picked up and thrown around, why isn't rooney out there throwing some hits guys worthless

Yeah, maybe those extra 10 pounds DeAngelo has on Panarin will help him. This way it's just a 40 pound mismatch instead of 50.

It must be so emasculating in the Ranger room.

Torts would line Smith up as a forward. Strome centering Smith and Gauthier. Look the fuck out Washington.

Torts wouldn’t dress this lineup, lol

Yes, after being benched for a month maybe he can show off his size with 8 minutes of ice time in a meaningless game for a coach he probably doesn't like.

Didn't realize size and toughness had any tie to ice time. Not sure any NHL shift should be meaningless to a guy like him at this point. But yeah maybe you're right, continuing to be invisible is the better choice when you do actually get on the ice.

People are mad because Wilson felt he could do whatever he wants without consequence. Yeah, no shit, it's what some have been saying here forever. Panarin didn't get hurt thank god but it's only a matter of time until he seriously injures one of our players. You CANNOT leave deterring your opposition to the NHL Safety Department or the refs. Yes you can rely on that for a lot of it but hockey still is a violint game with actual human emotions making it dangerous at times. In those times players are not deterred by some fantom rules department they are deterred by force and intimidation. A player like Wilson in the old days would be getting grilled by his own star teammates knowing that Kocur was coming out next shift to rip their stars heads off for him rag dolling Panarin. It's called eye for an eye, it's as old as christ. The pacifists who want to take physicality out of the game just don't understand this. It's why fighting always existed. Somebody would settle this with a fight. Wilson did nothing suspension worthy, not even close. All he did was put an exclamation point on the problem that we have been discussing. He literally could have taken all 5 Rangers on the ice right there. The Rangers fan reaction is to call mom. It's pathetic.

Misses Wilson is such a loose cannon he would still do something so stupid.

I agree.

Wilson won’t stop... until his teammates make him. Hence why I said takeout a teammate. You lose an important player right before the playoffs, teammates will put an end to it quickly

Weird place to show frustration watching this team in a meaningless game. Let's get on the guy barely on the ice after not being around for a month. Perhaps if he was on the ice more consistently early in the season he'd be useful right now.

3rd period could be interesting to watch with Wilson coming back

The Rangers don't have anyone who could possibly even take a beating from Wilson without seriously being endangered of being killed. Nothing happens unless Wilson decides to press the issue and completely embarrass this team.

Torts would bring Bickel over in the intermission, tell him to put on Rooney's jersey, and then have him take a b-line right at Wilson.
