Three Nonessential Things You Miss Most While Quarantined
jsm7302 replied to Parsley's topic in The Bar Room
1. Going out to Restaurants 2. Hockey- my league and NHL 3. Not having to wear an N95 at work and worrying about bringing this shit home to my kids and wife Things that I have enjoyed: 1. More family time at home without having plans 2. My free time to go fish and spend time outside. -
[brooks] The Silver Lining to Brendan Lemieux’s Disappointing Rangers Season
jsm7302 replied to Scott's topic in New York Rangers
1-2 mil/ 2-3 years.....tradable and gives him time to develop. Definitely not giving up on him. Potential for a nasty PF. Let's give him some time. -
We are so open at this point. I appreciate all of the points of view. Definitely like 4 seasons, would like to be near mountains and ocean/large lake. Preferably within an hour of a major city. The CO suggestion sounds pretty good. Texas, Colorado and North/South Carolina seem to all keep coming up. Lower income and property taxes are definitely on the list. A slower pace of life than NJ, maybe a little more purple than the red area of the state I currently live. Wife and my familys have lived in northwest NJ for generations. I'm a cop out here with an associates degree so going elsewhere may be tough especially with the time I have in already with a guaranteed state pension. Been kicking around moving to the private sector but my lack of a 4 year+ degree seems to be a hindrance although my experience and training is geared heavy towards nvestigations which I feel could help. Thanks again for the suggestions. This is a 2/3 year plan with us starting to visit places this year. Going to Maine in August but I think the intense winters will rule that out pretty quickly.

Wife and I have been talking about leaving the Garden State. No idea where to but we are looking all around the country. Looking to be within an hour of a major city. Suggestions?

ADA and both first round picks. Maybe....

https://www.foreverblueshirts.com/possible-rangers-2020-draft-targets/ Article spells it out....more or less, with little to talk about let's take a look at where the Rangers picks could end up and the most recent draft expectations. Thoughts? I say first round should be best available forwards. Let's pick some D in the later rounds. This kid specifically interests me: 16. (16) Hendrix Lapierre (5-11, 179), C, Chicoutimi (QMJHL) ? The left-shot forward has great hockey sense, compete and playmaking qualities. He was limited to 19 games because of an upper-body injury but may have the highest ceiling of any player projected to go in the first round.

Season Postponed/ Cancelled — 2020/21 Post Rebuild Era
jsm7302 replied to jsm7302's topic in New York Rangers
I think we may see the season resume in 2 months in empty arenas with team quarantines between games. -
Ok, so I really dont see a world where this postponement doesnt lead to a complete cancellation. I assume the NHLPA would have to agree on how to proceed and I just dont see how it gets done. So, with the said, how do draft picks get handed out? Is it just from the standings now? To finish out this post and go along with the title, where does this team go next year? I say post rebuild but in all reality it is really tail end rebuild into the compete era. This team really came together this year and showed this core has what it takes to score and win. They need to shore up the D core and bottom 6, otherwise this team absolutely hands down can make some noise. How do you view this sudden end to the year and the opportunity for next season?

injury report: Filip Chytil Suffers Lower-Body Injury
jsm7302 replied to Phil's topic in New York Rangers
We avoided the injury bug for most of the season and it decided to bite now? WTF!?! -
You trade Zib and get Eichel, we are in the same position. Panarin is a non starter. Eichel is great but not at that price. Doesnt make the team better.

injury report: Chris Kreider Suffers Fractured Foot

Any word on how long CK will be out? -
Let Hank have the job. Georgiev is young and knows he has a place here. Let this be Hanks swan song for one last run at it. The fire in his belly could take us further than expected.

Loved today. Anyone else hoping Lundquist has a fire for one last cup run on broadway. The story would be amazing. Definitely building a great culture. Need some lucky bounces and lightning in a bottle. Here is to hoping he goes out on the absolute top! We all knew he couldnt play 82 at his compete level anymore. The man has 20ish regular season starts and however deep he can carry them into the playoffs. We have done more with less (Torts era)

Hank bought out, Kreider resigned. My guess.
