lol Funny. That's who I was referring to, smart ass. -
GDT PS #2: Rangers vs. Islanders, 7pm — MSG, MSGSN

Yeah. I don't know if I would have given him seven years though, and the AAV is a little up there. It's definitely not the worst thing in the world, though. I'm glad he's here. -

If anyone can do it, he probably can, but I have my doubts. He's been pretty bad for awhile now. -

Not a huge fan of anything motorcyle or bike-like. lol -

Well, that's kind of part of de-aging, but no, he can't do that either unfortunately. -

Yeah, I can't stand them. Plus the noise they give off goes right through me. RIP to this kid, though. Sad. Too damn young. -

It is one preseason game, though. But, there may be a slight competition for sure. I think Othmann definitely has a chip and has more desire than Laf at this point. lol The whole 'will over skill' thing is a thing here. I like Tro a lot, he was a really good signing, even though I still think the contract may be a bit much. He still provides a lot of what this team needs more of in its good players. I actually think he can be even better under Laviolette. I remember early last season he had terrible puck luck. Remember all of those posts he hit? The man could easily have had well over 30 goals last year. -

Quick is already an enemy here for 2014, now he comes here to live out his dream, but he'll probably be terrible and the fans will just hate him even more. lol Lucky him. He might be okay, we'll see. Again, he's just here because he was cheap to get and Halak wanted more and that wasn't happening. Halak did have that great run last year, but overall was average at best. Although, probably still better than what we'll get from Quick this season. Time will tell. Allaire is good, but he can't de-age goaltenders. -

lol Yes. Also, it's kind of an odd scheduling thing that we don't play the Islanders in the regular season until late in February. -
They're going to bring back Darnold aren't they? lol

Indeed. Yeah, I'm not going to miss the Gauthier fellatio that happened here regularly for several years. lol -

I know he's looked washed for awhile, but I expect him to at least keep you in the game. Like, similar to Halak but maybe a tad worse? lol I don't know. He's only here because he was a cheap option. Halak hasn't even signed anywhere yet, right? -

Lafreniere disgusts me, but holy overreaction Batman. lol -
Oilers, Flames Unveil Heritage Classic Jerseys
Sharpshooter replied to Phil's topic in Hockey Around the Globe
The Rangers have been very good with their outdoor and alternate uniforms, we've been lucky, so I'll be interested to see what they come up with for the Metlife game. -
Ha! I just mentioned in one of the injury threads how conditioning is most likely an issue too. Definitely part of it.

Honestly I don't hate them, but they aren't great. Edmonton's would have been better without the brown shorts, I feel. Calgary's is at least a little simpler looking and less tacky. A nice shade of red. -
Wasn't it, though? I would have finished it in a day if I didn't have to go to work. I've always liked Al Snow, and that series made me respect him even more. Some of those faces looked familiar, as I mentioned, also I noticed some from AEW Dark and those shows (before they actually showed the clips on the episode), so it was cool to connect with them more. I guess Hollyhood is getting an NXT try-out soon, so we'll see how that goes. But yeah, great storylines in and out of the ring in that series.

GDT PS #1: Rangers @ Bruins, 5pm — MSG, NESNplus
Sharpshooter replied to Phil's topic in New York Rangers
Yeah, I also just saw that he was back on the ice now. lol Oops. I did like all of the forwards they were able to bring in on cheap deals. Some will be here, some will be in Hartford, so they have some solid depth for the bottom six internally. -

20 wins? I wish. He might make 25-30 starts all year, so I'd take that. lol -
Oh, Othmann is back? Too bad I didn't see this a couple of minutes before my most recent post. lol Good news, though.

It really sucks about Othmann getting hurt because he's totally another Laviolette type of player, along with Cuylle. Not that he would definitely make the team, but style wise, you just figure he's going to be in love with the guy. Cuylle has a great shot at making the opening night roster over people like Pitlick, etc. -
Walker Lindgren's Importance to Rangers Unquestioned in Contract Season
Sharpshooter replied to Phil's topic in New York Rangers
It's a contract year, so we know he'll at least be very good, maybe even better than usual. They'll get something done. I think the cap is going to be going up a good amount this offseason and next season, and Drury knows his importance. Remember how they looked last year when he was out for an extended period of time? Woof. -
