Columbus is doing well. They had some injuries last year too, or else they would have done better. They made some really good additions. Hopefully there's finally some good stability and long term success incoming. That franchise could use it.

It looks so good! I can't wait to see more. I hope 'early 2024' means January instead of something like March, which was my initial prediction for a release.

I could never get used to seeing Pete without a Downey avatar. At first I always thought it was someone else before seeing the name. lol It's definitely hard to say, because yes, things can change. If I had to go one way or another, I think he stays for the long term is another long-time franchise goalie like a Richter, Lundqvist, etc. They've had a ton of them in their history. I guess it also depends how Garand develops? If he's looking really good right around when Igor becomes a UFA, it might make the decision to walk away easier.

Yeah, if they can get a great return for Hart and fill some needs, it might be hard not to do it. I still think for a franchise that's struggled finding goaltending that trading a guy who's looking pretty good and only 24 is still kind of odd. I'm very interested to see what they get back.

I had no problem with choosing to rebuild/retool that team. However getting rid of guys like Fast, and even McDonagh, were moves I did not like at all. Maybe they definitely couldn't keep McDonagh, I don't remember what the cap situation or whatever was like then. Still, I saw him as one guy you really shouldn't trade. On top of that, the return was a complete disaster. They basically got rid of he and Fast for nothing.
