  1. Four years? I thought maybe he'd get two, or three at max. He's still a good 3C at this point, but definitely getting up there. I wonder if Eric goes back there for a year to finish up?
  2. I have also gotten tired of the mantra that all the Rangers do is bring in the old washups and whatnot. That's certainly very true, but that was awhile ago. They've been really good about not doing that for quite some time now. Kane last year, and St. Louis back in 2014. Certainly not everyone they've brought in has been great regardless, but those are the big two who were really good and just came here when they were done. The Rangers of the late 90's and early 2000's did that ad nauseum. Not only that, but they would bring them in and not really have a role for them, or play them how they weren't used to be playing, something to that effect. St. Louis was definitely pretty much done (although solid in the '14 playoffs), Kane I think still has at least a couple of really good years left, he was just hurt.
  3. I wouldn't hate it, but I think this new staff wants to give Lafreniere and Kakko more power play time. Bringing Kane actually kind of messed up the PP a bit last year, the flow of it, and would only take time away from them again. You could blame some of it on Gallant's handling of the roster, I suppose. If they can make it work, they'll probably do it, but I could also see them walking away even with the issues at right wing. I fully expect him to be somewhere else next season and be awesome again.
  4. Muse has a lot of positive feedback as well. If things work out well, he may be a future head coach himself one day. Like, maybe for this team when Laviolette retires or gets fired?
  5. Yeah, you're definitely Larry Brooks. You're stealing other people's stuff. That right there is Pete's thing!
  6. I love that franchise. lol Also, some of these guys could just buy these brothels and clubs anyway.
  7. Yeah, definitely an issue on both sides unfortunately. At least it's one less thing we'll hear about all next season. lol
  8. I also hope that Shesterkin's best years are still when he's here long term and not a cap casualty, unlike Lundqvist.
  9. Best assembled coaching staff since then and Laviolette is the best coach we've had since Torts too.
  10. Perfect goals against and save percentage too. We might not want to admit it as Rangers fans, but statistically, he had his best years in Washington.
  11. Plus Panarin shaved his head because of bad mojo or something. Not worried.
  12. An excellent goalie, but not one of the greats like a Lundqvist or Luongo type though.
  13. It's possible. I meant to start the season it will mostly be the same.
  14. Dude, this offseason has been brutal already. We're going to be dying come late July/early August.
  15. Exactly. It used to piss me off so much during post game pressers where he's like, "I don't know, go ask the coaches". Like...what!? No dude, you are the head coach, you answer the questions and you do the planning (hypothetically). If I was a player on that team, I'd be calling for help too. You can be a player's coach to a degree, that part is fine. But you still need a game plan. "Go out there and do whatever you think is right" won't cut it.
  16. It really is. When you have all the players basically saying, 'please help us', during their exit interviews, what else can you say? I don't think you can have a bigger red flag.
  17. I kind of hope he doesn't get moved, but if they can move him and bring in two guys similar to him, I guess you have to do it. I wouldn't necessarily be excited to get rid of him though, even though the contract isn't great.
