Why a retread? So lazy. Just get a name. Sure. That's what the franchise is known for, I guess.

Playoffs 2022-23 ECSF: Maple Leafs vs. Panthers

I mean, who doesn't love the Staal Brothers??? Great guys. Well raised. -

Just want to be very clear as the coach chatter amplifys... The "system" Ruff deployed was a 1-2-2. It's not rocket surgery. Wanna get crazy? Deploy a 1-3-1. There's no secrets, here. Hockey is very basic. Gallant didn't adjust, well maybe, but he also doesn't have the personnel to chip it in and pound their D. -

Othmann needs to start in the AHL. -
The coach has to go, for sure, but you also can't have the highest paid player in the league no show because he's flat out afraid for 27 straight playoff games. He's an embarrassment to the jersey, and needs to go. It's over. He got his second chance and failed spectacularly.

Makes for awkward situations on the Wake boat in July. -

Definitely gonna be a while before I can bring myself to give a shit, but a brutal embarrassment brings its own kind of entertainment. Do they figure out the "stars" they tied the wagon to are actually glorified Ray Whitneys, or do they shuffle the chairs on the Titanic deck and pretend this isn't exactly what Panarin is? -
I'd love Hartley but we'll get a retread like Laviolette.

Drury Must Deal Fox or Panarin This Summer
Dunny replied to RichieNextel305's topic in New York Rangers
He's not an elite skater, no, he's really not even a Grade A prospect, but could be very Perry like, so worth finding out. I don't even think we're a slow team, we just play like it with the 4,635,742 lateral passes in the NZ and entering the attacking zone. -
Drury Must Deal Fox or Panarin This Summer
Dunny replied to RichieNextel305's topic in New York Rangers
Panarin and both draft busts have to go along with Miller. Re-stock the cupboard. Find guys that can actually skate. Stay fresh. Even if it means a step back next year. Gallant too, but that's a foregone conclusion at this point. -
Fox is manic or something. Sometimes he just looks stunned. His brutal footspeed gets exposed at worst times. But really, this is the Artemi Panarin experience. Somehow, even worse than last year. Has to go down as one of the greatest franchise playoff chokers of all time. Return doesn't even matter at this point, just need to cut the cancer out. It also becomes easy to remember why Kakko was scratched last year lol. What a shit show. Apex of the rebuild and we already look old and slow.

We've been to Starbucks about a dozen times in our lives lol.

It's clearly Shesterkin

I've came in to possession of a De Longhi Dinamica super automatic. Its been fun learning this thing, and it spits out better coffee than I can get within a two hour drive of my town. They're grossly expensive, but we didn't necessarily pay for this one lol.. as such we saved over $300 in 1st month vs. The usual sea of K-Cups, Nespresso Pods and endless Tim Horton's. Beans are cheap. Of anyone has looked at these, I'd say it would pay for itself in 6 months, so pull the trigger.

Playoffs 2022-23 ECQF: Maple Leafs vs. Lightning
Dunny replied to Phil's topic in Hockey Around the Globe
The texts I got last night were something else. The group chats were disturbing my Rangers game, it was like we were in 9th grade again. Leaf fans have severe PTSD. Golfed with 2 of them yesterday afternoon and both just assumed they'd lose in a hilarious fashion. I'm a little scared here. Boston clearly shot a good portion of their wad in the regular season. Rangers need to figure it out. That'd be a helluva series if it happens and I don't see anyone else stopping the Leafs, except themselves, of course. -
2022-23 ECQF #6: Rangers vs. New Jersey Devils — Fade to Black

They're completely lost. It's like they're in shock that NJ would have the audacity to make this so hard on them. -
Rangers Draft [LW] Alexis Lafreniere in 1st Rd. (1st) Pick
Dunny replied to Drew a Penalty's topic in 2020 Draft Class
Exactly how I feel. An obvious change of scenery candidate, but the issue is his value has plummeted from untouchable to unwanted. Should have moved the pick at draft, should have dealt him after Y1, and Y2. It was never coming, there's no skillz to dream on. They have 25 talent evaluators, and I can't wait to find out who spoke up (in 10 years, I'm sure we'll find out). -
Playoffs Rangers-Devils Round One — General Series Thread
Dunny replied to Phil's topic in New York Rangers
I think our roster has been pretty exposed. Not sure why they changed lanes from getting "harder to play against" to bringing in the rotting corpse of Patrick Kane, but beyond that we have no change-of-pace options. The scratches are all AHL roster filler. Just zero flexibility, mostly due to the Kane fiasco. Such a self own that Drury has to wear. However, all it takes is one goal, one lead, one shift to change everything. We've seen this before, in the 1st round last year. We were DOA in R1 and went to the CF! Nothing is over until it is over... -
Rangers Draft [LW] Alexis Lafreniere in 1st Rd. (1st) Pick
Dunny replied to Drew a Penalty's topic in 2020 Draft Class
Pretty simple, he's a flat out bust. Completely unable to generate his own offence. He's 216 games in, and his identity is 3rd wheel on a 3rd line. Forechecks hard when interested, and can finish chances 5 feet from net and in. Can play annoying, but it rings hollow as any opponent can simply ask why he's a 3rd line pseudo-pest and hasn't even accomplished what Patrick Stefan did, rendering him instantly emasculated. Woof. Is a better skater than Kakko, but so is my 14 year old bantam house league stud. -
It's not going to change. He needs to go. Thanks, but no thanks. True B-lister being paid like a bona fide star.
