This is going to cause such a pearl clutching fiasco in this country. It'll be nothing but "toxic hockey culture" for months. I'll probably have 5 new mandatory courses to complete to match all the "touching little boys penises is bad" mandatory training from the Grahaeme James Era. If they truly truly did something egregious then I hope they swing from a tree, if only for the fact I'll have to listen to talking heads tell me why hockey is evil for the next 12 months. I guess we'll have have to wait for it to play out. It's hard for me to fathom how much more sanitized the game can get at the grassroots level, if there was a problem at one time, it's long gone. Long long gone, but nobody will care. They'll latch on to this like nothing ever seen before. Anyways, at least the NFL still gets a free pass.

There's hundreds of coaches out there with ideas, the easy thing to do is just go with the defacto guy on the old boys list. Not that that he was necessarily the wrong choice. I don't know, nobody knows, yet.

Good thing we got that coach all the puck knowers wanted. I'm excited to see how he turns it around. All the adjustments and stuff. Lots of adjustments.

He definitely has problems. He can neither skate, or shoot and he's 175 pounds. Who cares? He's the poster child for deception, and his brain is a Pentium 166 w/ MMX while everyone else is still running a 486. Deception is the newest shiny thing and he is the best at it.

Lias Andersson Nils Lunqveest Vitaly Kravtsov Lindbom Remember when they drafted a couple Czech overagers? lol. It's pretty obvious

That's absolutely insane. I spent 10 years out there and never witnessed it that bad. Hopefully you didn't go with the government rebated heat pump lol

Quick gets all the muffin assignments, though. High danger chances trying to be converted by lesser than finishers. That's real. The more Quick plays, the more he'll be exposed. The answer isn't Quick, the answer is Igor playing better, or else there is no answer.

His play is definitely an issue. It's going to be a down year for Igor. Just one of the many reasons investing more than 6 or 7 million in a goalie is bad business.

GDT [RS] (#40) Rangers at St. Louis Blues — Big Ouchies
Dunny replied to High and Wide's topic in New York Rangers
It is important to keep their injury issues in mind when grading the team performance, but that's on the FO to a degree. -

High danger chances are cool, but they're not all created equal. So many high danger chances the Rangers get feel like I would make the save as they are telegraphed. What opposition is doing seems different. They have guys popping in and out of nowhere, causing chaos and leading to a number of basically unstoppable chances. (Shersterkin also needs to stop the run of the mill grade A chances, which he isn't doing) -

That's definitely how it feels. -

Are they worse 5v5 in their own end vs last year? Fancy Stat guys? -

Shesterkin should have a chat with his buddy Samsonov -
Quebec may leave Canada any minute. We pray they do.

The WJC is fun, and I like watching and rooting for my team. I don't really think it's the best indication of who is producing the best players, as a whole, particularly as one country always seems to be missing way more top-end eligible talent then all the others combined. I hope we're still talking shit about this in 30 years, it's fun, but it's a week long tournament. Besides, I never said a thing about USA Hockey. I view US hockey as our equal in top-to-bottom talent at this point, only falling a hair short on top end generational talent. We all know we'd trade Fox for Makar in a nanosecond, after all. My USHL argument has been consistent. I'd like Puckhead to finally admit, after 20(!) years of debate, that the USHL is the direct beneficiary of the CHL embargo. I will concede that it's probably better than the QMJHL, and he will retract his preposterous statement as it involved the OHL, and life will go on. We won't see him again for 360 days lol

lol.. It's sooo good that nobody goes to the games! Parents, uncles, and cousins! My local Junior C team handely out draws USHL teams. It's soooo good that they have to brand their competition as "professional" so they can pretend that everybody plays there organically, and totally not because playing in the other league magically makes you ineligible to play in the NCAA. You keep willing this to happen, but even with the major astroturfing, it just isn't the case. Nobody cares about the USHL. It's a means to an end for players looking to go the NCAA route. That's it, that's all. Who wins in a 7 game series, the London Knights, or the 1st place Fargo Force? Just have a gander at the comparable rosters and judge for yourself. https://www.hockeydb.com/ihdb/stats/leagues/seasons/teams/0008142024.html https://www.hockeydb.com/ihdb/stats/leagues/seasons/teams/0050512024.html

Owen Nolan is really a reach at this point tbh. His best comp ppg wise could be Brian Lawton, granted Lawton's points would be weighted less. Their hockey dbs don't look so different. Brutal. Patrik Stefan is another close comp thru 250 games. Can anybody find a better comp? Daigle has him blown out of the water at this point in their careers. He's a bust, Fellas.
