  1. I need to stretch before I even attempt. It's quite a scene. Sometimes, a family member will walk in while I'm doing this. Surely they secretly hope I'm put out of my misery at some point shortly.
  2. I'm on my dad to sell his. It's stupid. It sits in a bank deposit box(s). Nothing displayed. Multiple full sets from mid 60s to early 70s. Multiple Dryden RCs and what not, and the big piece is a 7.5 Orr rookie (Canada issue). Cleaning out attic when we last moved I found a stack of early 60s POST cereal cards. Multiple Mantles, Torres, etc. He has an absolutely stupid collection. And to think I was excited pulling a Upper Deck Mussina rookie when I was 8. Kept it forever. Worth nothing.
  3. I just don't see how they can be confident with Panarin heading in to playoffs. Yes, they're in a good spot in standing right now, and yes, Panarin is producing (though down a full notch) but does anyone have any inkling it's not going to be a replica of his disappearing act last year? I think it's pretty obvious that's where this is heading, and if it does this isn't going to work. He's going to have to fuck off.
  4. A good sign you're definitely being persecuted is when you walk in to your bank and they have your symbolism hanging from the rafters, in celebration. Or, perhaps you have an entire month, plus several random days, held in your honor. Or maybe, when your employer sends out several emails throughout the year extolling your virtues and reminding everyone how special and important you are just because. Another great example would be your government passing several laws, over multiple decades, expressly forbidding any discrimination against your exact traits. Who exactly is being persecuted and by whom?
  5. This group maybe had 6 kids when it started now we have to be pushing 50+.
  6. Congrats, but aren't you fucking old? Haha, you better keep that back in shape, gonna need it.
  7. The first call was terrible. The second call was fine. International hockey rules suck, but it's not so dissimilar from NA rules, now. Very soft hockey, across the board. Anyways, this isn't a real tournament without Russia, but that game was pretty classic. Crowd was fantastic, and it's great to see them shift this to smaller cities. The "Playing in NHL venues phase" was a complete disaster imo.
  8. Othmann pretty invisible. Most of Canada's big gun are. US much better tonight, particularly on the top end. Canada's depth came up big. Basically, the undrafted goalie won the game. Imagine being Milic, dominating every level you've ever seen, don't get drafted, but get to watch house league goalies like Lindbom get picked in the 2nd round because they're 3" taller.
  9. Has looked much much better past two games. Playing hard north/south. They called him Corey Perryesque on broadcast, I'd say more Hymen sized, though. That's the game he needs to play.
  10. What are you talking about lol. How about we do what we want. Junior is the lifeblood of Canadian hockey. AHL teams? lol. Othmann just isn't what many have hyped him up to be, here. This isn't Conor Bedard. This is a NHL middle 6 role player. He also needs to learn to push through adversity. Not a great attitude so far, needs to harness his attitude in the right direction.
  11. We've made it home. 3,500 miles. Griswold Style. 2 Nights at a Hampton Inn 5 Nights at a Loew's 4 Nights at my Parents 1 Night at an Embassy Suites 1 Night at a La Quinta (lol) Between the glorious Bucc-Ees stops and the Love's stops in between, it was a blast. Kids did great. Would drive again over flying anytime. Would list the ways your country is superior but would take too long. Felt like I was getting gas for free it was so cheap. Bucc-ees is probably the 8th wonder of the world. Culver's is everything a fast food stop should be. Your highway system is fantastic. Somehow, the South seems cleaner and friendlier than the north. Lots of great spirit in Dixie. Great people. Worst part of trip was definitely Universal. Massive waste of money and time, though Harry Potter world is truly amazing.
  12. You just need to tell your wife to pick her game up. She'll get angry, but will respond.
  13. Bo Jackson/Deon Sanders for me. Gretzky was sneaky athletic in a way. Was also a legendary ball player in Ontario, could have picked that route.
  14. She was a champ and sat in middle whole trip. 13 yo up front with me. All kids split. It's the only way. We just drove 5 mins to a Waffle House in a normal set up, and I would have killed all 3 if I could reach them. You know how it is. As soon as you relax and allow any chicanery, they'll take full advantage. Awful creatures.
  15. Pennsylvania highways were fantastic. We took a roundabout route, and spent a day/night in northern Virginia at Harpers Ferry. Very beautiful country. By the time we hit Richmond, it became a shitshow. Night 2 in Savannah which was really cool. Wish we had another day. At parents place in St. Pete's right now. So fuckin awesome down here. Had no idea it was this built up. Wake up to a tweet from my Prime Minister stating the use of plastic straws and bags is now illegal. I fucking hate my shithole country. Need a green card so bad lol
  16. We could have flown. But... this is more Griswold. Day 2 was turning bad, but just found a Buc-Ees. Lmao. The best.
  17. Driving from Hanover, Ontario to Tampa. 3 kids. So far so good, but just waiting for the meltdowns. Your country is about 6000% better than mine. There's 42 flavors of pop tarts.
  18. Since becoming a starter in 16-17, at all levels, Shesterkin is now 163-59-24.
  19. I believe it's pronounced 'Artley
  20. There's a couple re-tread disrupters out there who could possibly be brought in to try to salvage the season. One of them has close ties to Drury. Think you gotta try something sooner rather than later. Coaches are hired to be fired. Hard to make splashy trades in this league, so what else are you to do?
  21. Mea culpa: I've watched about 4 periods of Ranger hockey this year.
  22. I almost think that's optimistic, at this point.
