I think there have been games this year where our line has been really good against some top, top-end first lines. Improve our bottom-six? I guess you could look at our goal totals, but we’re going out in the defensive zone and generally have a different type of role.” - Jimmy Vesey on trade deadline chatter GIF to HYPE:
Br4d Posted February 9 Posted February 9 Laviolette is making his stand with Quick. Probably a wise move right now but the Rangers will need Igor back in shape before the playoffs. 1
RangersIn7 Posted February 9 Posted February 9 This is a game vs a very banged up Chicago team that is poor even when healthy. Gotta have this one. LGR! 1
Ozzy Posted February 9 Posted February 9 Fuck around time is over. We take care of business, put these guys away tonight, take our 2 points and we're outta there! 1 1

Br4d Posted February 9 Posted February 9 I don't think this is a trap game. Should be 3-0 Rangers after the 1st.
fletch Posted February 9 Posted February 9 I expect to see Shesterkin moping on the bench due to recent performance - Quick's stellar play and Igor's inconsistent play. It is better for the team in the short-term to ride the Quick hot streak. But unless Quick is your starter for round 1 of the playoffs (crazy talk, but not as crazy as day 1 of the regular season) the question is how you get Shesterkin to be at least a .920 goalie... instead of a .900 goalie. There's only so much a goalie coach can do... at some point Igor has got to block some shots in a game. 1

RangerDanger Posted February 9 Posted February 9 Chicago needs to activate Rem Pitlick. I really want to hear Sam stroking out when both Pitlicks are on the ice.

RichieNextel305 Posted February 9 Posted February 9 Big start and big moment for Igor. If they play as solid defensively as they have the last 80 minutes of hockey, he has no excuses tonight.
Br4d Posted February 9 Posted February 9 Do we know which 10 teams are on Igor's NTC? He should have submitted the list in June.
phillyb Posted February 9 Posted February 9 Igor in net? Shittttttt, I guess I'll put away the Quick jersey. 1

Blue Heaven Posted February 9 Posted February 9 Greetings From Chicago!!!! My daughter and I will be at the game, our 2nd annual father/daughter NYR road trip. Lucked out with this glorious 55 degree day today. 1 1
BrooksBurner Posted February 9 Posted February 9 (edited) I preferred Quick tonight, but not because he's the hot hand. I don't trust this team against an inferior opponent. I think they might take it easy and leave whoever the goalie is exposed a bit. That's probably not a great way to rebuild Igor's confidence and game. Let's see if they can get up for the game and play hard for Igor in the face of an easier opponent. Edited February 9 by BrooksBurner 1
Ozzy Posted February 9 Posted February 9 We're kicking the piss outta these guys tonight! No being scared or worried....or even tentative. This is our time!
