We're in a flat cap situation and we got a guy who was basically a lottery ticket that didn't have any winning numbers on it. Ok fine. But at least he's giving it his best. The guy never lacks for effort or heart. He simply is on his last part of his career. That's the way it goes sometimes. Players can fizzle out fast, or they can hang on a little longer. He was worth the risk...as minimal as it was. No way I take Gauthier over either guy though. I'm fucking better than Gauthier right now, at 56! Can’t finish, crashes into other teams goalies, not a good passer, doesn’t hit, doesn’t backcheck well, poor defensively. If he was any good he would’ve stuck on one of the 4 teams by now. Has he slowed down? I'd grab him just for his speed alone if its still there. Decent 2 way bottom 6 guy. He's on a league minimum deal. Nothing to lose in claiming him.
