QUOTE(S) TO NOTE:

“This time of year, it’s just one game at a time. The game is over with, it was a good win for us, but that’s in the past. You’ve got to get ready today, you come in and have a light skate and a light practice and get ready for [Thursday]. That’s what it’s going to be, stay at the same level. Doesn’t matter who’s winning 1-0, it’s about winning the series.”

— Gerard Gallant

We did it. We took game one on the road against our rivals, the Devils, with a dominant 5-1 win. We set the tone for this series. We showed them who we are. We showed them what we can do.
But we’re not done yet. Not even close. We know the Devils will come back harder in game two. We know they’ll be desperate to even the series. We know they’ll try to use their speed, skill, and physicality to get under our skin.
But we’re ready for them. We’re ready for anything they throw at us. We’re ready to play our game. We’re ready to play with confidence, poise, and resilience.
We have the edge in every aspect of the game. We have the edge in offense, with five different goal scorers in game one. We have the edge in defense, with a solid blue line that limited the Devils to only 19 shots on goal in game one. We have the edge in special teams, with two power-play goals and a perfect penalty kill in game one. And we have the edge in goaltending, with Igor Shesterkin making 18 saves and allowing only the penalty shot through in the game.

But most importantly, we have the edge in heart. We have the edge in passion, determination, and grit. We have the edge in chemistry, camaraderie, and leadership. We have the edge in spirit, pride, and tradition.

We are the Rangers. We are New York’s team. We are hungry.

So let’s go out there and do it again. Let’s play smart, fast, and hard. Let’s stick to our game plan and execute it flawlessly. Let’s outwork, outplay, and outscore our opponents. Let’s make them fear us, respect us, and envy us.

Let’s win this game. Let’s take a 2-0 lead in this series. Let’s take a giant step toward our ultimate goal.

Let’s go Rangers! 🔵🔴⚪

First 10 mins is probably key to the game tonight.

Yup!!  Right on, my man.  We make it through the first 10 without an onslaught, and we'll be good to go.

They're going to come out flying, and nothing more I would like to see is an early goal from us, just to give them a good boot in the ass!

This is going to be a helluva game. Keep em flustered. Hard hits right out the gate. Schneider is going to railroad someone tonight. I feel it.

I was just gonna say I think the Trouba train is pulling into the station tonight

key to the Rangers PP based on game 1. Cycle around enough to get the Devils into a diamond shape. Both PP goals, Marino was on an island in front of the net with Zibanejad and Kreider on either side. Marino hesitates on who to pay attention to more and that's where the space will be to bury one.

I think with the two PP goals last game, Kreider gets some extra focus today and opens up room for Zib to set up in his ofice
