QUOTE(S) TO NOTE:

“I don’t think that’s something you can sit around waiting for. There’s new players, I think you restart a season with new guys and it’s kind of the same feel. Don’t feel out too long. But you got to learn tendencies and it’s a new team, so they’re dropping into new situations and maybe some new systems. We’ll work out the kinks.”

— Jacob Trouba on integrating new faces into the lineup

I would expect Halak today with Shesterkin being saved for tomorrow against the Pens, but who knows with Gallant.

Did you see his shoot out choices the other night? I’m just happy he doesn’t put kakko in net

No reason at all why Igor should not be in goal tonight. Do not play Halak.

Shesty probably does not want to hear the I-G-O-R! chant in Pittsburgh anyway. The chances are that it'll be Shesterkin today and Halak tomorrow in goal.

forced to stick with that no D gameplan again today. Somebody start the clock on the next Motte injury if he's in. (sadly)

Still holding out hope for a 60 min effort and a clean 2 points against a team they should beat without much of a struggle. Let's Go!

Hoping to see last year's version of Igor.

Sam gargling the teams balls for their play in the last game, especially the play of the leadership. There's spit everywhere.

they’ve hired a cleanup specialist these days for Sam. Each game you never know what fluid you’ll be removing from the media booth: pancreatic bile, unexpected diarrhea, sperm (Sam or joes), all of the above. It’s a hard job but someone’s gotta do it: when Sam said this one will last a lifetime he really meant an unnatural bilbo baggins length lifetime
