Nah. A good goalie still squares himself up, not slides and stabs.  He doesn’t ever square himself. He opens up his whole body up and flaps. Never keeps himself compact ever.

How would being compact there help, when he (rightly) overplayed to the right? A shot back towards the left like that is beating 4/5 NHL goalies.

Because when you keep everything compact to yourself, you square to the shot and have your extremities controlled instead of flailing and stabbing at the puck
