Mr.wiskers
With Gorton saying he has no intention of fielding a team of 19 yr. olds. And being open to trading 1 or even 2 of those 1st Rd picks for a young player?21-22-23 yr old. Who could be that player? Mr.wiskers
I know Arizona had Max Domi on the block during the trade deadline. Having scored only 9 goals each of the last 2 years. Is he a bust or a good player on a bad team? But if we could persuade them to trade us Dvorak instead, that would be a deal worth doing Sent from my iPad using Blueshirts Brotherhood mobile app powered by Tapatalk
Sod16
Is he a bust or a good player on a bad team? Sent from my iPad using Blueshirts Brotherhood mobile app powered by Tapatalk Not a bad team at all after an 0-10 start.
Phil
The obvious candidates include Max Domi (23), Dylan Strome (21), and Jesse Puljuj?rvi (19). It's food for thought, though. You might have given me my next article idea.
Mr.wiskers
Calgary doesn?t have a 1st or 2nd Rd pick. I?m sure they?d do Bennett? But Does 2-1st Rd picks and Spooner get us Mathew Tkachuk? Phil
No. They have absolutely no reason whatsoever to move Tkachuk.
josh
Let’s trade picks, for guys on bad teams, to put them on our bad team! The recipe for success!!! They will be going for guys buried by depth with these trades (DeAngelo, Howden, Hajek, Lindgren), maybe some foreigner that won’t come over, or something. Kevin
I might be more interested in Strome than Domi at this point.
Scott
I wouldn't trade a first for either Domi or Strome at this point. IF they get it right drafting ~ 10-12 they should hopefully be able to get a more valuable player than either of those two.
Long live the King
I don't like it. If its a one for one trade, with one of the late firsts for Strome or Puljuj?rvi, I might get on board. Domi is too old. If we're trading for a older established player, I'd prefer to trade Zucc and try to copy the Brassard deal. Keeping all three 1st rounders doesn't mean icing a team of teenagers. They'll add vets in free agency. at most there'll be 2 teens in the line up next year, Chytil and the top 10 pick. If one of the late firsts is good enough to play that'll be gravy, but they won't play teens out of necessity. One more bad year would't kill us. If its not Tavares this summer, 2019 Free Agent class contains several 30 or under stars.
Mr.wiskers
Puljujarvi would be great, we only have 2 righthanded forwards Sent from my iPad using Blueshirts Brotherhood mobile app powered by Tapatalk
The Dude
Trouba, Morrissey, Fabbri, Dumba, Domi, Hartman, Mantha, Theodore, or any RFA. Especially on cap struggling teams. Maybe a salary dump. An Andrew Shaw type of contract. Struggling team that needs to tear it down and sell off players.
Mike
If they trade a 1st for Domi, I’m burning everything I own with a Ranger logo.

An Andrew Shaw type of contract. Struggling team that needs to tear it down and sell off players. These names excite me and I don’t think most of them are worth a first. But If we get two 1st rounders and one of these guys I’d be pretty damn excited.
Phil
Trouba and Morrissey (neither of whom I think is getting traded) are both worth firsts. The rest, I doubt.
Gravesy
No chance on Trouba imo. He's certainly worth a 1st.

Phil
Wrote about this. Wonder if Fabbro or even Fiala can be nabbed? Nashville and Calgary both lack a first- or second-round pick this year. https://thehockeywriters.com/new-york-rangers-draft-picks-dealt/ Sent from my iPhone using Blueshirts Brotherhood mobile app powered by Tapatalk
josh
Both players are more valuable to their respective organizations than draft picks they'd get in return. Wouldnt make much sense for either team, unless there was a gross over-payment. And that wouldnt make sense to the Rangers.
Long live the King
Yea, Nashville needs Fabbro. Assuming he turns pro next year, both Josi and Ellis will be looking for new deals while Fabbro is still on his ELC. They're both gonna get huge raises and its unlikely they'll be able to keep both so they'll have a top 4 opening for Fabbro.
mickey1935
Gorton doesn't have a clue to which player to even look for. I have noticed that there was a thread about firing the coach. V had nothing to do with the trades which decimated the team (including buying out Girardi). Gorton traded or gave up on, MacDonough, Stralman, Holden and Girardi. Three of them are playing for Tampa Bay (110 points) and Holden is with Boston (also 110 points). What did he get in return? Nothing for Girardi and "19 year olds" for the rest. The man hasn't got a clue how to build a team but he is very "corporately" correct in the eyes of management. Will he dump Zuck and Krieder in the off season? For more draft picks? I have been a Ranger Fan for more years than he has been alive for more years than he has been alive (saw my first game in 1948) and have seen these moves before by other incompetent GM's along the way. The only time it worked was when we got Messier. GGG (Gorton Gotta' Go).
