  1. Say what you want about Gauthier, but man is he consistant with his move
  2. Every team in the Metro has a winning record. Still early, but that's fucked up
  3. So Raymond scored his first hattrick and had a 4 point game. 7 in his first 6 now. Would be very Rangers to get a #1OA pick, have it be a consesus franchise player and he ends up being the worst of the players picked in the top 5. Sanderson is a D so we need to wait a few years to see how good he really is, Byfield is struggling a little, but with his size as a center he only need to come close to Laf skill-wise to be the "better" player. Stutzle and Raymond you could argue is better than Laf right now. I still believe in Laf, but its a little annoying lol.
  4. I think you think I'm saying "we need VK". I'm not. I said I am done discussing VK, I was just replying to the statement you made that the organisation don't need scoring wingers anymore, a statement that I disagree with. Kakko has not shown that he can be a "scoring winger". Shown a few flashes and improved his skating and defensive play, but not as a scoring winger. Kreider is very streaky (as you like to point out a few times each season) and Laf is also still a question mark. "When healthy" the top 9 looks solid yes. The problem is how many games a season does a team go without a injury on a top 9 player? Less than 50% of the games I would assume and when the solution then is to play Blais a top 6, Hunt as a top 9 and playing McKegg, there is something lacking there. There's a reason the Tarasenko thread got revived and that there's a new Kane thread. This team still lacks a scoring winger.
  5. But they haven't done anything to fix it yet. They're still using Blais as a top 6 forward and they play McKegg, that's all I'm saying. Winger depth (and especially scoring wingers) IS a problem. Not a huge one, not an unfixable one, but still a problem. And its not like they can just go and get a player. They either have to give up valuable assets and/or cap space (that they don't have) to fill this hole in the lineup. That's why a talented, scoring winger on an ELC would be perfect for this team atm.
  6. Yes I know, I'm done arguing about VK. I was only commenting on the comment that "scoring on the wings" wasn't a problem anymore, and I disagree. So the Rangers don't lack scoring on the wings because its "available" around the league? And if the solution is to put Blais and Goodrow in the top 6 it just proves my point lol.
  7. How is it not? Especially on the right side there's Kakko (still not showed that he can be a productive scoring winger) than Blais, Goodrow, Gauthier, Reaves. That's really not a high scoring winger depth. On the left there's Panarin, streaky Kreider and (still struggling) Lafreniere. If the few first games have shown anything, it is that this team lack some scoring and winger depth. Dryden freakin' Hunt is playing top 9 and PP, Blais is all of a sudden a top 6 forward and PP'er.
  8. Blues fans said he's really incosistent, not really lived up to the potential and injury troubles. Kind of a Kreider lite I guess. Besides they needed more top line talent, so it was a good trade for them. With that in mind, and already getting a "how good is this guy??" thread after 5 games, he'll probably cool off for a period now lol. That said - I am also a big Blais fan already. Hits everything in front of him, doesn't take shit from anyone and has speed and skill. Can't really ask for more. Just need him to be consistent and try his hardest to stay out of the box and we have a really good bottom 6 winger in Blais.
  9. Not pretty, not deserved, but fuck that they didnt win these games last season, thats for sure.
  10. Dont really care if Strome and Kakko is injured. If McKegg and Rooney is top 9 players because of two injures this team is fucked. There’s no team that goes an entire season without a lot of injuries. I just dont get it, how fucking bad must they think Gauthier is since he’s a healthy scratch with this team? And why the fuck do they think he’s too «valuable» to be waived when they think he sucks? Makes no sense.
  11. Everytime there’s an early game so I dont have to stay up to 2am to watch they fucking stink and lose. So annoying. Atleast give me a goal ffs
  12. Georgiev actually been solid, giving them a chance to win this now. Doesnt look like they want to tho
  13. Nice, 1-0 down before I turned the TV on. I dont understand how a 25 year old goalie cant play when its two days since last game and two games to the next. Dont care what they pay Georgiev, he should only play games he HAS to play (back-to-backs or Igor injured).
  14. I don't really get the argument to bridge the superstar Norris Trophy winner so we can possibly give the struggling Laf and Kakko big contracts? Bridge Fox so we can give big contracts to Laf and Kakko IF (and thats a big IF) they get close to Fox' level of play. Doesn't make sense. You lock in the known and bridge the unknown. There's nothing unknown with Fox but both Kakko and Laf are still big question marks. Even if (again, big if) Kakko comes back from the injury and puts up 70 points in 75 games this season you can still bridge him untill Kreider's contract is up. Same with Laf in 2023.
