  1. That's, strange... He has a NMC and no way he waives for Buffalo. 3-team trade?
  2. LOL that would be so awesome Are there any rules against it? Buffalo won't release it, but he should be able to tell people about his body if he wants to, right?
  3. There has to be something around this, no? He's in a fucked up situation with his org. He's injured, he wants out, there's rumours about him EVERYWHERE and pre season is getting closer and now he decides to get a Twitter account? I might read too much into this, but I think the timing here is kinda strange.
  4. 46 pages in and its just starting to get political here. This will go to 100 lol
  5. I've always liked Tatar, but damn those playoffs numbers are hard to look at lol. Not as bad as Miller's tho (when he was a Ranger).
  6. No, we're talking about replacing him with Dvorak in this scenario. Maybe they lose ~10 points a year, but if its for a better allround player its a win for the team. And the "Panarin narrative" has not been dismantled. Im not saying everything Strome has done is because of him, but when you play with a guy like Panarin you'll get a lot of "free points" through the season, thats the point. If Strome is a 60-70 point guy with Panarin, he's a 50-60 point guy without him (A sample size of 10 games is not enough to say otherwise). If anything just look at his points total before he ever was on a team with Panarin. (33p in 63 games for the Rangers before Panarin was signed too). If they dont want to (and they won't) you can't.
  7. If Strome is a "65-70 point 2C" (never scored more than 18 goals, 59 points in a season), then Chytil is 40-45 point 3C that's played with DiGisuppe instead of Panarin and no PP time. And its been repeated many times. Having a 60-70 point 2C is good, but having a 2C that dont kill penalties, is not really good defensively and does not win draws is not ideal. That's the problem here. And when Mika is the 1C its a little problematic having a soft vanilla 2C aswell. I thought they both had NMC's?
  8. In 6 years Panarin, Mika, Kreids, Trouba, (Strome, goodrow) will be at the end of their careers, so it would make sense with a little «re-tool» at that point tho.
  9. Kreids deserves the C for not losing his mind playing on that team and going through the entire rebuild watching all of his friends get shipped out lol.
  10. I never said that, but money is money. If Reeves turns out to play hockey like a grandpa now, they have ~2m tied up to a guy that won't play a shift in 22-23. Yes I guess they can easily dump the contract if needed, but they would have to give up assets to do so. It just doesnt make sense to me. It wouldn't be a problem re-signing him later if it turns out he still can play. Why rush it?
  11. After all the "Trouba prop" from the Rangers Twitter the last days/weeks it wouldn't suprise me. Like this:
  12. Yeah I guess, but that's because I dont think they see him as a 3rd line C and the top 6 winger spots are taken. Plus on his current contract Chytil should have a decent amount of value, so it would make sense including him in a trade. I can also see them keeping him to see if he's capable of taking the 2C from Strome, and shipping him out if he can't do that. Well this is just retarded lol. They don't even know if he can still skate and they are planning on giving him the same 1.75m when he's 36? I thought we had an incoming cap problem, tying up 1.75m to a guy we dont know will play a single game in 22/23 is kinda stupid.
  13. He got caught with one lie so he doubles down and comes up with "Georgiev may not be a unanimously well-liked teammate" nice. Why do this guy want Georgiev gone so badly? ADA fanboy?
  14. Normally I agree, but I think with Chytil its a bit different. The "problem" with him is that he's not suited to play 3rd line C, so either he moves to wing or he progresses to be a legit top 6C. Had they locked him up for, lets say, 4x4m: 1. He improves a lot and turns into a legit 2C. We now have a 2C signed for 3 more years at 4m. 2. He doesnt improve as hoped, and they trade him at the deadline or next summer. He's still a decent middle 6 C/W that wouldnt be hard to trade. (So either Chytil signed to a really good contract or he's gone) But with his current contract its either: 1. He improves and prices himselves out (or they have to sign him to something like 6m+ in two years). 2. He doesnt improve and they need to let him walk in two years. (Here its either giving him a market value contract in two years or he's gone) The way things are with this contract I dont see any way they can keep him after these two years (unless he improves drastically defensively and can turn into a 3rd liner, not very likely tho).
  15. Agree. We all knew what they needed to do and it's exactly what they've done. - Opened up space in the top 6 for Laf, Kakko, Krav. A little underwhelming return for Buch, but its not a big problem. - Completely change the bottom 6 = Goodrow, Blais, (Reeves, Hunt) in, Howden, DiGi, Blackwell out - Big, Veteran 6/7th D = Nemeth, Tinordi Maybe they could've went for X instead of Y, but honestly, this looks solid. Maybe they gave Nemeth and Goodrow a year or two too much, but who gives a shit about that. There's no problem dumping those contracts if needed. They knew what they needed to do and did it without giving away any good assets or fucking themselves for the future. I'll give Drury a B- for the off season (so far).
  16. Who gives a shit about a swede when there's pictures of Josh's brazilian wife floating around here???
  17. This. And Werenski is really good, I think some of you underrate him a bit. I'd take Werenski over Jones easily. And Fox still has a few years of RFA, so he cant demand as much. Unless he goes completely nuts next season and wins back2back Norris' I guess he signs for something around 8x8-9m.
  18. Wow, I thought he would get atleast more than 1 year minimum contract. At this price I would take Smith over Tinordi every day. Especially since they got Reeves now too.
  19. Probably not, but it could help the team in other ways. He got a winners mentality, Leadership, he's been to the SC final and he'll certainly teach them how to stick up for teammates. These are things that the team can benefit from years after he's gone aswell. As mentioned before - just don't make it a "Tanner Glass thing" and this is all good.
  20. That's also how you end up not being able to sign players when they "show you". Buch this season, Stromer is next, Chytil the season after... I get it with Chytil and its probably the right decision, Im just saying at some point they need to take some "chances" and try to get someone on a bargain deal. I hope they have a plan with all the RFA's coming up (Kakko, Kravtsov, Shesterkin, Miller, Laf).
