  1. Between the pandemic, him already being in it twice and mastering it, and just to avoid the risk of injury altogether, it makes too much sense. He just needs to have nothing but an NHL mindset right now. I really don't care if anyone north of the border is angry about it or not. lol Canada is always stacked anyway.
  2. I just read this before coming back here. LOL It was from a different site, but also mentioned the ongoing negotiations. It said there are "whispers" it could happen sooner rather than later. But, yeah, if anything can speed up discussions, it's this. This could wind up being a trendsetting announcement.
  3. I really wish HBO Max would come to Roku so I can actually watch it on my TV. Yes, I can watch on my tablet or computer, but I would rather just watch it on my television. This is a pretty big announcement, though, and could change the way we watch movies forever. We could be saying goodbye to the traditional movie theaters and just have streaming and drive-ins. We shall see.
  4. I saw a few games from that playoff run on MSG a long time ago. That was a really scrappy team, led by some Vezina-caliber goaltending from Beezer. It was a great run.
  5. Forever grateful for his game-winning goal against the Islanders in Yankee Stadium. Plus, he was kind of fun to have on the team that year too. lol
  6. I canceled Center Ice with them the other day and I'm just going to start paying and it getting it through my Roku when I know concrete details of the season. You know, important things, like if there's going to be one.
  7. Holy crap, dude. That game was a nightmare, except you were awake, and it was real. I don't think I raged that much at a game. It made the challenging Super Mario levels look like a stroll in Central Park.
  8. I love to see all the Neverending Story love, because it's probably the same for me. I have it on Blu-ray and watch it from time to time. It's such a classic and perfectly done, with awesome characters. 80's movies of that ilk were great.
  9. R.I.P., Utopia. 2020-2020. We hardly knew ye.
  10. That happened to me too. It's crazy how quickly they're getting scooped up. I know a pandemic certainly hasn't helped with slowed production (assumption) and the demand is just insane. The CEO of SONY said they're basically tapped out of everything. lol If you can't land one during Black Friday/Cyber Monday, your best bet might be the Spring....maybe.
  11. I think sites are trying to crack down on bots, but it remains to be seen. Apparently Walmart is going to have availability tonight at 9:00.
  12. I remember when he was on the very first episode of TWD. You think he's just a minor character that's only going to be in one episode. Then, a few seasons later he makes a return! Not only that, but he then becomes a huge character in not one, but both TWD series. It's pretty crazy.
  13. Squadrons? I haven't played it myself, but I've heard a lot of really good things. It's for consoles also. I'm going to see what's going on this week, but I expect it to be sold out everywhere really quickly again. I might even just wait a year and see where it stands. There are plenty of them for sale on eBay through scalpers if you want to pay triple the price, or more. lol
  14. From all accounts, I heard quite the opposite. Like, when it was announced that Biden won, I heard that was a lot of dancing in the streets. lol
  15. It's definitely a top tier sitcom for me. It's right up there with other favorites like The Office, Parks and Recreation and Seinfeld.
  16. This show is one of the best superhero things ever. As much as I enjoy the Marvel and DC stuff, it's nice to see a darker, more sinister twist to the genre.
  17. Before too long these teams in our division won't want to play against us, not the other way around! :D
  18. Is the COVID-19 vaccination card going to be the new form of ID in this "new normal" we're going to live in? I wonder.
  19. Totally, and it's going to happen. You probably won't be allowed to do a lot of things unless you are vaccinated. It should be interesting. lol
  20. Yeah, 25% is probably best case scenario if fans are allowed back. I think even that may be a stretch for most teams. Despite the financial loss as I mentioned, they might not want to risk the chance of a super spreader like you said. It wouldn't be a good look. lol It should be interesting. This might be more difficult to plan than the return to play plan they had for the postseason. Ugh.
  21. If there was "social distancing" measures and whatnot, like I see at some NFL stadiums, then I would. I can avoid people and stay in my bubble for a few hours, no problem. lol I'll be interested to see what NHL teams, if any, follow suit of some NFL teams and have limited capacity for games. The NHL is more of a gate-based league than any other. It may behoove them to do something like that to avoid a complete financial disaster as best as they can. But, we won't know anything until the NHL announces what their plans are, if it's going to be home arenas, a bubble, etc.
  22. By not staying in New York, or at the very least not doing PEDs several times, he basically ruined his chance at the Hall of Fame. Sad.
