Even the Islanders arena is stuck in the 80's.

Yeah, I mean it's still basically a dump with a paint job, but it just feels more like an Islanders/Rangers game when it's there. That goal, though, should have never happened. lol

Pageau just looks like an Islander. An annoying little piss-ant. I can't stand him, even when he was in Ottawa. It's similar to when they had PA Parenteau. He just looks like an annoying Islander.

I don't think I've ever seen the Rangers score an OT goal like that, just a bomb slap shot from that far out. I was so pumped after this. Also, it's nice to have the Rangers back playing at Nassau. It just feels better than Barclays, plus I think they only won one game there. Georgiev's play against the Islanders maybe helps him stay. Anytime you have a goalie who can dominate a division rival, stuff like that should matter. Although, they've done well overall within their division this year anyway.

February 11th for 6 minutes when Shesterkin had to leave the game briefly. His last start was February 3rd.

I'm glad they didn't wind up doing that. I'd rather have the first.

What's the highest the pick could be? It's close to middle of the pack, isn't it? 13-15?

Even his last year being past his prime he was still almost a point per game player the year after the lockout. I know that year in general was pretty offense-heavy, but still.

You really can't go wrong with Kreider or Zib. It'll be either one of those two.

I know the Devils aren't a very good team, but it's not like Jack Hughes is lighting the world on fire either. I mean his overall play has looked better. I don't know. Maybe the expectations of both of these guys coming in and racking up the points right away was greatly exaggerated.

During the presser with Gorton and JD they basically said Henrik wanted to have a long talk with them about his future with the team. To be a fly on the wall in that meeting.

I hope so. I also really think this could be his last year in a Rangers uniform. A trade or buyout is totally possible. So, all of those factors you mentioned, plus he can showcase himself to other teams. We could be in for some vintage Henrik.

Yeah, he definitely needs some strength and conditioning work. He's been getting knocked off the puck so easily all year. I'm not going to call him a bust, and I'm glad they have him, but I have been disappointed in him this year. I wasn't expecting a 70 or 80 point rookie season, but just a lot better than what we've been seeing. This year of adjustment plus some workout will hopefully do wonders for his game.

Sometimes I think the whole naming a captain thing is a bit overrated. As long as you have good chemistry and leadership on the team, just leave it alone. Sometimes actually naming one, and putting that 'C" on that jersey can do more harm than good. I think McDonagh was very uncomfortable with it, even going back to naming Brian Leetch the captain, was also a mistake to me.
