If he's going to be here long term, which I think is a safe bet, then I think he will definitely be named Captain. I'd be cool with it.

Tony DeAngelo to Host "Watch Your Tone" Lifestyle & Hockey Podcast
Sharpshooter replied to Phil's topic in New York Rangers
That could be part of it, and/or the Rangers asked him to shut it down. It's not a great look either way. lol -
What Are You Doing To Not Go Crazy During Coronavirus Lockdown
Sharpshooter replied to NYR2711's topic in The Bar Room
I've been able to binge a lot of TV and play a lot of video games, which is what I do normally. LOL Now, I just have a bit more time to do it. -
This show is the best Star Wars thing Disney has done, probably because it has the look and feel of the original trilogy. Great new casting as well. I can't wait to see Sasha Banks. LOL

If it's a movie about hockey or road rage, it's Russell Crowe every time! I own that movie and in the early and mid 2000's I watched it all the time. Yeah, it's pretty cheesy, but it's still a good watch and I love the whole Alaskan atmosphere and the classic feel of the rink and uniforms. It has a lot of charm to it, at least for me, anyway.

confirmed: Dallas Stars Unveil Neon Green Third Jerseys
Sharpshooter replied to Phil's topic in Hockey Around the Globe
It looks alright. By the sounds of it, each team will be getting at least one, very possibly two new jerseys for next season. I guess the NHL has to make some money back since there won't be any fans. The Rangers might go with a new permanent third jersey and an alternate fourth. I would love to see the return of the Liberty jerseys, just with a more modern design and look. I loved the old ones from the late 90's, but they are very late 90's looking, so a slight update and redesign could do it wonders. -
I'm glad they're adding six extra episodes to season 10, not coming until October, but it's cool they're doing that. Then 2022, we say farewell with a large eleventh season. These past two seasons were a really good comback after the previous two "Negan seasons" were kind of 'meh'.

OK. I'll probably definitely be watching it anyway. I still need to finish The Sopranos and The Wire first before I start another big binge. By the time I finish it, I'll be ready for the brief revival. lol

The season premier was one of the best 'Fear' episodes yet. Morgan just got better, amazingly.

I've heard all of the negativity about it as Phil mentioned. I am still somewhat interested in binging it at some point, though, just to check it out for myself finally. Are there maybe seasons or chunks of episodes I can skip? I've heard the show is very hit or miss across most of the seasons. It kind of sounds to me like maybe it went on a bit too long.

article: Why the Rangers Had to Let Jesper Fast Go in Free Agency
Sharpshooter replied to BrooksBurner's topic in New York Rangers
It sucks he went to a division rival, though, because he's probably going to pester the Hell out of us. lol -

He needs 45 games played to pass Gordie Howe's all-time games played record. -
[brooks] Rangers "do not envision long-term relationship," with DeAngelo
Sharpshooter replied to Phil's topic in New York Rangers
Reading Larry Brooks' articles made me believe I could have become one of the best journalists of all time. -
I really can't add anything that hasn't been said already, great informative posts. I can say that this indeed a perfect time to start following the Rangers as they are building a new core and it's a group you can kind of grow up with. They are already one of the youngest teams in the league, and will only continue in that trend. When they are winning, there's no greater feeling in the world. Unfortunately you missed their peak run from 2011-2015, but greater days are ahead. The rebuild has no doubt been sped up significantly with Lafreniere, already addding to Kaako's addition from last year's draft. Other than that, I've always liked their Original Six status, they play in NYC at MSG, their fantastic jerseys, and there's just this charm to them that I can't really explain. Even if they might not have the best luck in the world, they almost always have good intentions. If you are a reader, there are tons of really good Rangers books available on Amazon regarding their history and anything else you may want to know.

[brooks] Rangers "do not envision long-term relationship," with DeAngelo
Sharpshooter replied to Phil's topic in New York Rangers
Is this the best shape their farm system has been since the late 80's/early 90's? Then they had guys like Leetch, Weight, Amonte and Kovelev, among others in the organization. -
