  1. That was hockey at its best listening to those two announce. I liked the old days of the Colorado/Detroit rivalry and Thorne doing the announcing. It was pretty much hockey heaven. I also liked that NHL2Night show they had, even though I wasn't a huge fan of Barry Melrose.
  2. Man, that sucks. I really hope this doesn't wind up being career ending. That would be a really crappy way to have it end. Good luck, Hank!
  3. It could be a good competition of how finishes with the worst plus/minus rating. Chara would have been nice to get maybe a few years ago, but definitely not now. Plus, he never seemed to enthused with playing here. Perhaps his experience with the Islanders soured him on New York.
  4. Happy Holidays to everyone! I'm really missing hockey right now. Hopefully it returns next month. There's nothing I like more than watching hockey with my Christmas tree on and drinking hot chocolate.
  5. Walmart had a restock yesterday, but they solid out in about two seconds. lol Absurd. This launch has kind of been a disaster. It's a great system once you get your hands on it, though.
  6. It's hard to decide which I'm more excited for, the Star Wars shows, or the Marvel shows. But, it's a very exciting time to be a fan of both. I'm really looking forward to that Obi-Wan series. Ewan MacGregor is awesome, and did really well in that role in the prequel movies, I thought.
  7. Pure luck, really. lol I was able to get a Costco bundle late at night when their stock was refreshed. I wanted that bundle because it came with an extra controller as well as the Ultimate Launch Edition of Miles Morales, which comes with a PS5 remastered version of the Spiderman game that came out for PS4. It's probably still going to be really hard to get one until at least until February/March, I think.
  8. I certainly wasn't in any rush to get one (PS5), but I was able to, so I'm not complaining. lol I've had it for a couple of weeks now and so far, so good. I'm really loving how fast and quiet it is, and I like the UI.
  9. That trailer wasn't too bad actually. I'm still not expecting it to be great, but I'm looking forward to it nonetheless. I'll probably re-watch the movies beforehand, it's been so long.
  10. Pretty much this. But, regarding all of these Star Wars and Marvel series coming, holy crap that's a lot of content.
  11. Did anyone else get major goosebumps last week when Sting debuted on AEW? Something about Sting and TNT just feels right. You could hear the emotion in Schiavone's voice. He definitely had tears. Sting even called it a "familiar place" last night in his promo. I'll be interested to see how much he wrestles. I know he had that bad neck injury while with WWE, but it sounded like it's improved enough to the point where he can at least take a few bumps.
  12. 2025 is a decent prediction, but I don't know. I think it will be at least 2022-2023 before we really look and feel like a contender. It just depends on who comes up and how much growth there is.
  13. I don't think there will be fans at MSG at all this year, even in limited capacity. I don't see Cuomo or DiBlasio allowing it. I'm hopeful for baseball this year, but even that's suspect. By the time the vaccine is distributed to a wider base, and more people feel safe, you'll see them back, and that could be awhile yet. I'm thinking you're looking at late fall-early winter, best case scenario.
  14. Yeah, not surprised it's selling like hot cakes. It was a much requested jersey to be brought back for a long time. I still like it, but again, it just needs a bit more. I still think the stripes on the sleeves should be thicker, and there should be some piping on the bottom. There's just too much blue. Also, maybe some more color around the color as well. Again, they still look good, but it looks more like a glorified practice jersey of theirs than being closer to the Liberty uniforms of old.
  15. I wish I was a fan back in the day to experience the "blue seaters" and such. Watching old games, I'm amazed at how loud the crowds were compared to now where the diehards have been priced out and most of the people are just the corporate suits and/or just sitting on their hands most of the time. I think MSG post renovations looks great, but yeah, year by year it's still gradually losing its soul. It's kind of sad and disgusting that it costs so much to go to games now that you're pricing out your most passionate supporters.
  16. Yes! Hopefully an official announcement soon. I think the NHL knows potential canceled season could spell doom for the league. It looks like an all Canadian division will be a thing, and will be interesting to see how they re-align the American teams with new divisional setups. But, I'm just really glad there's going to be hockey. This time of year I'm sitting in a dimly lit living room with my Christmas tree on, drinking hot chocolate and watching hockey. I miss doing that. At least when the season starts, I'll still have the hot chocolate part.
  17. The Wild are always desperate to bring in any offensive talent whatsoever, and they feel they need to massively overpay to do so. A big bullet dodged by the Rangers. It was one of those things where sentimentailty needed to be put aside by the organization and the fans. We appreciate what he did there, but they moved on at the perfect time.
  18. Yes. He played A LOT of hockey for sure. Playoffs Kaako is much closer to the Kaako we'll be getting. Plus, there being a bit less pressure on him because of Laf will really help, I think. Now, we just need to hope there is a season. Not just because of the Rangers, but I fear for the future of the sport here if it's canceled.
  19. If Kaako can't get excited about the possibilities of playing with Zib and Panarin, then he is a lost soul. lol Hopefully he's improved on his skating, and, well, everything else. I also think the presence of Laf will help tremendously. Indeed. Let's just hope there's a season!
  20. They needed Michael Cole to be on the episode with Sasha Banks, so he could've done his, "It's BOSS TIME!". But, yeah, awesome episode last week. The earlier episode was great, too, bringing in some Clone Wars characters.
  21. Yeah, for sure. Movie theaters will have to find ways to re-invent themselves a bit if they hope to stay in business. I feel they might go the way of Blockbuster eventually. I don't know if they would lower the ticket prices or concessions or what. That might be hard to do since they've been shutdown for awhile. But, I haven't been to the movies in years myself. I prefer the comfort of my own home, being able to pause the movie for whatever, my own beer/drinks, etc. I think a lot of people feel this way. Going to the movies is still fun and an event for a lot of people. If they don't do something, they will be extinct.
  22. Also, didn't Rangers fans rock the ambulance back and forth after Pat Lafontaine was taken off the ice? lol
  23. Soon enough, you can add future Rangers legend Igor Shesterkin to that list as well!
