  1. I don't think there will be fans at MSG at all this year, even in limited capacity. I don't see Cuomo or DiBlasio allowing it. I'm hopeful for baseball this year, but even that's suspect. By the time the vaccine is distributed to a wider base, and more people feel safe, you'll see them back, and that could be awhile yet. I'm thinking you're looking at late fall-early winter, best case scenario.
  2. Yeah, not surprised it's selling like hot cakes. It was a much requested jersey to be brought back for a long time. I still like it, but again, it just needs a bit more. I still think the stripes on the sleeves should be thicker, and there should be some piping on the bottom. There's just too much blue. Also, maybe some more color around the color as well. Again, they still look good, but it looks more like a glorified practice jersey of theirs than being closer to the Liberty uniforms of old.
  3. I wish I was a fan back in the day to experience the "blue seaters" and such. Watching old games, I'm amazed at how loud the crowds were compared to now where the diehards have been priced out and most of the people are just the corporate suits and/or just sitting on their hands most of the time. I think MSG post renovations looks great, but yeah, year by year it's still gradually losing its soul. It's kind of sad and disgusting that it costs so much to go to games now that you're pricing out your most passionate supporters.
  4. Yes! Hopefully an official announcement soon. I think the NHL knows potential canceled season could spell doom for the league. It looks like an all Canadian division will be a thing, and will be interesting to see how they re-align the American teams with new divisional setups. But, I'm just really glad there's going to be hockey. This time of year I'm sitting in a dimly lit living room with my Christmas tree on, drinking hot chocolate and watching hockey. I miss doing that. At least when the season starts, I'll still have the hot chocolate part.
  5. Kakko looked his best during the playoffs, as he finally had some time off. The 2 years prior to getting drafted is quite taxing on the kids, regardless of how young they are. This break should be great for both of them.

Yes. He played A LOT of hockey for sure. Playoffs Kaako is much closer to the Kaako we'll be getting. Plus, there being a bit less pressure on him because of Laf will really help, I think. Now, we just need to hope there is a season. Not just because of the Rangers, but I fear for the future of the sport here if it's canceled.

  6. If Kaako can't get excited about the possibilities of playing with Zib and Panarin, then he is a lost soul. lol Hopefully he's improved on his skating, and, well, everything else. I also think the presence of Laf will help tremendously.

One gets quite excited reading all of this positive news. [emoji16]

    Indeed. Let's just hope there's a season!

  7. They needed Michael Cole to be on the episode with Sasha Banks, so he could've done his, "It's BOSS TIME!".

But, yeah, awesome episode last week. The earlier episode was great, too, bringing in some Clone Wars characters.

  8. Its also not available on the firestick either. I wound up buying an Apple TV for my living room TV because of it. Movie theaters priced themselves out from customers. Its so expensive to take your kids to the movies, its easier to pay $30-40 for a movie at home, where you can pause for bathroom breaks, have your own snacks, than bring a family of 4 to the movies where its almost $100 just for the tickets alone. Movie theaters better wake up and see that they need to fix what they do if they want to stay relevant.

Yeah, for sure. Movie theaters will have to find ways to re-invent themselves a bit if they hope to stay in business. I feel they might go the way of Blockbuster eventually. I don't know if they would lower the ticket prices or concessions or what. That might be hard to do since they've been shutdown for awhile. But, I haven't been to the movies in years myself. I prefer the comfort of my own home, being able to pause the movie for whatever, my own beer/drinks, etc. I think a lot of people feel this way. Going to the movies is still fun and an event for a lot of people. If they don't do something, they will be extinct.

  9. That sucks,

    try this https://popculture.com/streaming/news/hbo-max-roku-users-will-be-able-to-watch-wonder-woman-1984-using-trick/

But it does mention there are on-going negotiations. Maybe this announcement with WB will get them to agree on something.

I just read this before coming back here. LOL It was from a different site, but also mentioned the ongoing negotiations. It said there are "whispers" it could happen sooner rather than later. But, yeah, if anything can speed up discussions, it's this. This could wind up being a trendsetting announcement.

  10. Loudest crowd I was ever a part of was in 1979 Game 6 Rangers/Isles. That last 8 second countdown when they finally cleared the puck, and the team swarmed JD after eliminating the Isles in 6. That was absolutely awesome!!!

In 1986 Rangers/Caps Game 4 when Bob Brooke scored the tying goal with about 3 minutes to go and then potted the winner in OT. That crowd was insanely electric that night as well.

But those 2 stick out in my mind as the loudest by A LOT!!

I saw a few games from that playoff run on MSG a long time ago. That was a really scrappy team, led by some Vezina-caliber goaltending from Beezer. It was a great run.

  11. Ive gotten it in my cart through Walmart and Best Buy then the dreaded out of stock or error while checking out.

That happened to me too. It's crazy how quickly they're getting scooped up. I know a pandemic certainly hasn't helped with slowed production (assumption) and the demand is just insane. The CEO of SONY said they're basically tapped out of everything. lol If you can't land one during Black Friday/Cyber Monday, your best bet might be the Spring....maybe.

  12. I remember when he was on the very first episode of TWD. You think he's just a minor character that's only going to be in one episode. Then, a few seasons later he makes a return! Not only that, but he then becomes a huge character in not one, but both TWD series. It's pretty crazy.
