  1. Speaking of video games, my kids (two girls, 10, 8) are interested in a new gaming system for Christmas. Honestly, they haven't been much into anything thus far. I have an old Nintendo Game Cube so we play Mario Cart, Super Smash Bros. and games like that. I'm no big gamer myself, Game Cube is fine for me but I think they want something that is "with the times".

Any opinion on what I should go with? I know they are interested in stuff like Guitar Hero and Minecraft.

    So XBox or PS4?

I am a biased Playstation fanboy, so I would highly recommend the PS4. SONY has much more (and better) exclusives than XBOX. Although, if your daughters enjoy all of those types of games, maybe a Switch would be better?

  2. I remember awhile back reading that Bradley Cooper was going to be playing Vince McMahon in a biopic film. Is that ever going to happen? Obviously COVID had an affect on everything, but I don't see even see anything on his IMDB page about it ever starting pre-production. I am looking forward to the Hulk Hogan movie, though. Chris Hemsworth as The Hulkster I just have to see. lol

  4. Seriously. I just watched Gladiator a few nights ago, I bet Russell Crowe can play some puck.

If it's a movie about hockey or road rage, it's Russell Crowe every time!

I own that movie and in the early and mid 2000's I watched it all the time. Yeah, it's pretty cheesy, but it's still a good watch and I love the whole Alaskan atmosphere and the classic feel of the rink and uniforms. It has a lot of charm to it, at least for me, anyway.

  5. It looks alright. By the sounds of it, each team will be getting at least one, very possibly two new jerseys for next season. I guess the NHL has to make some money back since there won't be any fans. The Rangers might go with a new permanent third jersey and an alternate fourth. I would love to see the return of the Liberty jerseys, just with a more modern design and look. I loved the old ones from the late 90's, but they are very late 90's looking, so a slight update and redesign could do it wonders.
  6. I'm glad they're adding six extra episodes to season 10, not coming until October, but it's cool they're doing that. Then 2022, we say farewell with a large eleventh season. These past two seasons were a really good comback after the previous two "Negan seasons" were kind of 'meh'.
  7. Seasons 1-4 are A+ scripted television. Seasons 5-6 take a clear step back, but are still quality. By 7-8, and especially 8, the audience literally abandoned the show. It's your call. My guess is you'll want to watch the entire thing, but you'll feel the noticeable drop-off after the end of season four.

OK. I'll probably definitely be watching it anyway. I still need to finish The Sopranos and The Wire first before I start another big binge. By the time I finish it, I'll be ready for the brief revival. lol

  8. I've heard all of the negativity about it as Phil mentioned. I am still somewhat interested in binging it at some point, though, just to check it out for myself finally. Are there maybe seasons or chunks of episodes I can skip? I've heard the show is very hit or miss across most of the seasons. It kind of sounds to me like maybe it went on a bit too long.
  9. I really can't add anything that hasn't been said already, great informative posts. I can say that this indeed a perfect time to start following the Rangers as they are building a new core and it's a group you can kind of grow up with. They are already one of the youngest teams in the league, and will only continue in that trend. When they are winning, there's no greater feeling in the world. Unfortunately you missed their peak run from 2011-2015, but greater days are ahead. The rebuild has no doubt been sped up significantly with Lafreniere, already addding to Kaako's addition from last year's draft.

Other than that, I've always liked their Original Six status, they play in NYC at MSG, their fantastic jerseys, and there's just this charm to them that I can't really explain. Even if they might not have the best luck in the world, they almost always have good intentions. If you are a reader, there are tons of really good Rangers books available on Amazon regarding their history and anything else you may want to know.
