I thought Season 2 was much better. I liked the first one, but I felt it dragged a bit at times. Season 2 did a bit, but not nearly as much, at least to me. Anyway, they have a really good setup for the next season, so I'm looking forward to it.

This is one of the best things to ever happen to the Mets. I'm not kidding and I don't think I'm overexaggerating either. I'm not even a Mets fan, but it's good to see them get dedicated ownership that will pull no punches. He's already off to a great start just by dumping all of that staff.

Lundqvist has usually been good at coming up with excellent gear, and this is no exception. I'm looking forward to seeing what masks he comes up with. At the very least, they will certainly sparkle.

Lemieux is going to surprise some people I think. He's more talented than a 4th liner.
Agreed. If Howden can improve, it could become a very solid fourth line.

I'm not sure a Tweet of: "What happened to "COVID-19" the last 48 hours?" the day after the US Presidential Election is an "opposing view point" so much as it's a dumb, cheeky statement, which he appropriately caught heat for leading to him deleting his Twitter for a day.
That was foolish and had no merit whatsoever. There's been more cases than ever being reported the last week or so. lol It's like, c'mon.

Lemieux and Howden together will be magical!

Perfect indeed. Gorton brought in this guy and Zibanejad for Ryan Spooner and Brassard. Nice return. lol

Yeah, they wanted a switch originally but are now drawn towards a PS4 or XBOX.

OK. In that case, yeah, get a PS4. Perhaps wait until Black Friday or Cyber Monday to pick one up at this point. With the PS5 release right around the corner, PS4 consoles and games might be discounted even more.

Speaking of video games, my kids (two girls, 10, 8) are interested in a new gaming system for Christmas. Honestly, they haven't been much into anything thus far. I have an old Nintendo Game Cube so we play Mario Cart, Super Smash Bros. and games like that. I'm no big gamer myself, Game Cube is fine for me but I think they want something that is "with the times".
Any opinion on what I should go with? I know they are interested in stuff like Guitar Hero and Minecraft.
So XBox or PS4?
I am a biased Playstation fanboy, so I would highly recommend the PS4. SONY has much more (and better) exclusives than XBOX. Although, if your daughters enjoy all of those types of games, maybe a Switch would be better?

I remember awhile back reading that Bradley Cooper was going to be playing Vince McMahon in a biopic film. Is that ever going to happen? Obviously COVID had an affect on everything, but I don't see even see anything on his IMDB page about it ever starting pre-production. I am looking forward to the Hulk Hogan movie, though. Chris Hemsworth as The Hulkster I just have to see. lol

If he's going to be here long term, which I think is a safe bet, then I think he will definitely be named Captain. I'd be cool with it.

That could be part of it, and/or the Rangers asked him to shut it down. It's not a great look either way. lol

I've been able to binge a lot of TV and play a lot of video games, which is what I do normally. LOL Now, I just have a bit more time to do it.

This show is the best Star Wars thing Disney has done, probably because it has the look and feel of the original trilogy. Great new casting as well. I can't wait to see Sasha Banks. LOL

Jack Johnson, one of the worst players of all time.
Oh, wait....

Seriously. I just watched Gladiator a few nights ago, I bet Russell Crowe can play some puck.
If it's a movie about hockey or road rage, it's Russell Crowe every time!
I own that movie and in the early and mid 2000's I watched it all the time. Yeah, it's pretty cheesy, but it's still a good watch and I love the whole Alaskan atmosphere and the classic feel of the rink and uniforms. It has a lot of charm to it, at least for me, anyway.

I really wanted to see if he could have won a third straight Cup with a different team. lol But, a good move for him and Tampa.

I wasn't a hockey fan at the time this occurred, but I remember hearing about it, and I became more informed about the whole situation when I started getting into hockey more later in the decade.

It looks alright. By the sounds of it, each team will be getting at least one, very possibly two new jerseys for next season. I guess the NHL has to make some money back since there won't be any fans. The Rangers might go with a new permanent third jersey and an alternate fourth. I would love to see the return of the Liberty jerseys, just with a more modern design and look. I loved the old ones from the late 90's, but they are very late 90's looking, so a slight update and redesign could do it wonders.

I heard a rumor that there is a small town up in Alaska that could clear an NHL sized ice surface from one of their lakes. Rumor has it hockey is so entrenched in their blood that their town could put together a squad that could compete with an NHL team, such as the Rangers. I can't find the name of the town though, its quite the mystery...
That's a great storyline for a movie!

Montreal has had a fantastic offseason.

I'm glad they're adding six extra episodes to season 10, not coming until October, but it's cool they're doing that. Then 2022, we say farewell with a large eleventh season. These past two seasons were a really good comback after the previous two "Negan seasons" were kind of 'meh'.

Seasons 1-4 are A+ scripted television. Seasons 5-6 take a clear step back, but are still quality. By 7-8, and especially 8, the audience literally abandoned the show. It's your call. My guess is you'll want to watch the entire thing, but you'll feel the noticeable drop-off after the end of season four.
OK. I'll probably definitely be watching it anyway. I still need to finish The Sopranos and The Wire first before I start another big binge. By the time I finish it, I'll be ready for the brief revival. lol
