Gritty is an abomination but that picture is hilarious.
Kinkaid was another very good depth signaling, and given Georgiev's lack of confidence right now, it looks even better. He's a more than serviceable goalie who won almost 30 games a couple of years ago for New Jersey. I'm hoping he's a guy who could benefit from having Allaire as coach just like Talbot and Raanta did before him. I think he was signed to a two-year deal, so he's someone you can keep around after they hopefully get rid of Georgiev at some point. With groins being tricky, especially for goaltenders, there's absolutely no reason to rush Shesterkin back and risk re-aggravating it.

If the Rangers are going to deal for Eichel or another top center of any kind, then Buch is 100% a trade chip. I don't think any team will never not ask for him in any deal for a top of the line center. I would do it. For a new contract here, he's worth Chris Kreider money more than Chris Kreider, so if that's what it would take to keep him here if they hang on to him, then yes.

Joke wasn't funny the first eight times other people made it. ;)
I only counted five, I think! I don't think it's a joke either. #FireQuinn Get on board!!

I would totally include him in a deal for Eichel. To me, he isn't an untouchable like a lot of their other younger players are. He has looked better this year, but in a COVID world it's hard to get a rhythm going when you're in and out of protocol, and with a shortened season on top of that. I mean, with COVID possibly never truly going away, and him being a risk factor as it is, will he ever be able to play consistently? That is my worry. It's hampering his development.

Excited! I can't wait to see him play a few minutes a night with Blackwell and Smith. :p

Give the GM duties to Drury who they've always been high on, maybe bring in Gallant to coach, and I'd feel a little better about things. If they do make a coaching change in season, I fear they would just have Jacques Martin do it since he's already in house and has a lot of experience, obviously. But, with some solid coaching candidates out there, they really shouldn't waste time.

The Borque call was a major goosebumps inducing moment. I'll never forget it. Plus, they beat the Devils in the Final which made it even better.

I took a long break from the NHL franchise but on a while bought NHL 21. I enjoy it. I think for people who buy every year (I'm that way with FIFA) there isn't a noticeable difference between each year but after several year (probably an 8 year break for me) the game is pretty good.
having some competition between the two brands would be great though
Yeah, some competition couldn't hurt. I did play them annually but then I just got bored and wasn't happy with the product, so I stopped. I might get back into it soon enough because I do miss playing hockey video games sometimes. I started with the old SEGA titles, played even some non NHL licensed games on the NES and SNES. I haven't played the main franchise since 2004, so I'm sure it's a lot better. lol

This has been the saddest I've been watching the Rangers in a really long time. A good amount of talent, but there's just barely any life. I really hope it's still COVID with Mika and eventually he'll recover or else this is one the biggest falls from grace I've ever seen. He was very good two years ago, brought it to another level last year, and now it looks like he doesn't know how to play hockey. If it was COVID, did he come back too quickly? Should he have rested a bit more before resuming hockey activities? It's an unsolved mystery. All we need is a Robert Stack narration.
I'm not he biggest fan of Trouba, but even he's regressed which is also hurting the team. I didn't think he was phenomenal last year by any stretch, but the decline in play from a year ago is quite clear. It's just....hardly anyone looks like they're into it, and I think they really need a new voice before permanent damage is done to confidence.

If there's a team for JD to put his own stamp on the head coach, now is it. JD said the right things about him, but he wasn't his pick and he's just not working. I know it's a tough division and all that, but they are just playing a terrible brand of hockey and still look unprepared most of the time now three years running.

As long as he's gotten his personal stuff situated, it's fine. Get rid of the drama and move on. If he needs an extra few days to practice and get his bearings, so be it.

It seems like an empty net is the only net that Zibanejad can hit. It's been really depressing to watch. But, I'd take an empty netter because it means win. :p

Great analogy. I think glass actually played his role better. At least he brought the physical element
No question.

Would be awesome for someone other than ea to make a hockey game.
Ea is terrible

Pretty much this. I can't stand that company. I went from playing sports games almost all the time, to not having touched one in over 15 years.

I would be good with Thorne or Steve Levy. They both do a great job at calling hockey. I just really hope they don't bring Milbury in for anything.

I was really hoping for at least a split against the Penguins before these Boston games. I didn't see the game against Pittsburgh, but were there any updates provided on Shesterkin? Groin injuries are tricky for a goaltender, even "minor" ones. I think you ride out Kinkaid for awhile as the backup, maybe even alternating starts with Georgiev. He's very serviceable.

As much as I love Letterkenny there isn't enough hockey stuff or hockey scenes in it. A series with total focus on the sport (for the most part) is going to be a very welcome sight. There's plenty of TV series that have focused on football, basketball, or baseball, but how many have there been about hockey? Not too many. It's still kind of viewed as a niche sport in the country, even though it's popularity has grown. So, something like this under Disney (now adding the ESPN TV deal to that) could really help the game even more.

I liked that there were two post credits scenes. A lot of people were theorizing the same thing, and those pretty much confirm it.

Brett Howden is kind of like Quinn's Tanner Glass. That may be a bit of an exaggeration, but I think you kind of know what I mean. lol
-
Same, but I doubt it. lol
-
how about JR? i'd bring him in
That would be cool, but I think he's been officially canceled.
-
Good news! I thought this was going to go on a lot longer. They need all of the help they can get on offense.
-
The NHL back on ESPN might be enough to get Buchigross back on the desk, I hope. Now that Milbury was let go by NBC, I really hope ESPN doesn't bring him aboard. I'd rather have Melrose, I think. LOL For play-by-play I wouldn't mind Levy, since I always thought he was very good too.

Most likely, yes. Also, the last few episodes were great. It started off slowly with the first three episodes or so building everything up. After that it was a rollercoaster ride. Also, kudos to Kathryn Hahn for playing such a good role.
