  1. Quinn may not deserve ALL of the blame but this Quinn-friendly take doesn’t mention some of the inexplicable in-game maneuvers. Ice time management is a concern of mine. I’m faithful. LGR - keep playing the improved brand of competitive hockey we saw last night and I can stomach slow(er) progress this season. Yeah, I thought Beuch should have shot in OT too and not passed. https://www.foreverblueshirts.com/david-quinn-is-receiving-far-too-much-blame-for-rangers-inconsistencies-this-season/ In the contextual conversation about an organization’s success in any given sports league; who is more responsible for a winning team’s achievements or a losing team’s struggles? The players or the coaches? The reality of the situation for the New York Rangers Well, as the New York Rangers find their way through this Covid-shortened 56 game season, the merits and acumen of head coach David Quinn are coming into question. Since leaving the campus of Boston University to become the Blueshirts bench boss in 2018, Quinn was given the keys to a rebuilding franchise that was light years away from becoming a serious Stanley Cup contender. Quinn’s sterling reputation of being a master communicator and relating to players not yet old enough to drink a beer was what made general manager Jeff Gorton seek him out. Since Garden management jettisoned one older fan-favorite after another to go with a full-fledged youth movement, having a head coach who excelled with young players seemed the wise way to go. New Yorkers may be impatient by nature, however even the most restless Ranger fan realized the team was going through a massive rebuild and patience was of utmost importance. Unfair to judge Quinn while trying to win and develop kids at the same time Now, in year three of Quinn’s tenure, an ever growing sect of Rangerstown is starting to turn sour on the Rhode Island native. Not necessarily because of the fact the Rangers have just four wins in twelve games, but partly because of the perceived snail’s pace in which prized first round draft picks Alexis Lafreni?re and Kaapo Kakko seem to be progressing, adapting and adjusting to the professional game. 2. Parsley, you got any Lotto numbers for us? ;)
  3. Panarin moving gingerly for sure. Any guesses on what the injury 'looks' like it could be? I'll go first...when I first saw him moving slowly it reminded me very much of my back pain.
  4. The trainers should check Zib for snake bites. He's getting closer to lighting the lamp but for fans, this is very painful too.
  5. Our new late dinner-hour is really interfering with my hockey addiction. DVR again.
  6. Beef Bulgogi Bowls last night were good. Looking forward to the pork tacos one of these days.
  7. We needed to score on one of the breakaways. Coming up empty was a gut punch. Not scoring on some really good opportunities is another hit. LAF has not been slotted where he can succeed. I get that he should be doing more and that will come. The skill is there because we get to see flashes of it like summer lightening. Kreider showed up with legs moving right from the start. That?s what we want to see. Shesty dialed in and looking much more comfortable in net. WITH ALL OF THAT SAID get the anal lube ready for the upcoming Boston games. It?s gonna? hurt!
  8. Yup - my wife and oldest son have looked at a variety of services and decided to give it a go for a couple of months.
  9. That snow cover made for some excellent scenery. I had to drive into Manhattan Sunday at noon and while the Thruway was clear to the blacktop seems like they forgot about the Palisades Parkway down to the GWB.
  10. First Hello Fresh salmon dinner last night for 4. The sauce recipe made the dinner great - Dijon with sour cream and condensed stock. (When we can again, I?m taking the ?sauces? class at CIA because that is what makes the difference for most dishes.) I?m a little disappointed with portions. Rule of thumb is 1/2lb fish per person. We received 20oz for all. Could have used another potato or two and a carrot for the veggie medley. Tonight?s dinner has 5oz of beef pp where 4oz is plenty so maybe they know something I don?t. Recipes are good and we will repeat some of the dishes for sure.
  11. Important to see consistency here. Keep up the effort boys. No regression please.
  12. Brady not my fav but gotta? give props when due. Mahomes deserved a better score. Maybe not a win but if only a couple of those amazing acrobat passes were caught and not dropped the game might have been closer. KC defense too undisciplined like crying kids when stuff doesn?t go their way. Hold your head up and play. I had no dog in this one so it was a relaxing watch.
  13. Poise. Decisive. Workmanlike. I don?t need expression when he is producing ?defense? the way he is. I?m not make a comparison in any way with Leetch other than to say that Brian wasn?t exactly a smiling guy most of the time. Serious. Head down. ?Get my job done kind of guy.? In that regard alone, they both are.
  14. I use the NHL calendar subscription with iCal and it updated automatically - cool!
  15. LOL - the way to make it more ?too much? was to circle the net one more time before scoring. Imagine that! [emoji23]
  16. Yeah all of them too. Good problem to have when you have too many guys who could have been named to three-stars list.
