Morphinity 2.0
Cloud Atlas, 3 hours long, any good? I turned it off after 10 minutes.
Fuhgeddaboudit
45 minutes in and I am not sure I can take it... I'll just try and read the book since I have it.
twentyseven
Cloud Atlas was pretty good; it is a thinking movie and it doesn't make much sense until you are half way through it.

I'd argue it doesn't make much sense even all the way through it. Really convoluted story telling.

twentyseven
I'd argue it doesn't make much sense even all the way through it. Really convoluted story telling. It does take some time to piece it together. It is like Fight Club though in the sense that after you figure it out (well in Fight Club they tell you) watching it a second time can help you see the nuances in the film

The story telling was far too convoluted and unnecessarily complex, IMO.

Richie Rich
I "got" it, I just didn't care. The story telling was far too convoluted and unnecessarily complex, IMO. I agree, it felt like one of those movies that is unnecessarily complex, but easy to understand to make people feel smart when they get it. It also seemed like the bad people in the movies fortunes were always better than the good peoples, which kind of goes against the entire premise of the movie

LindG1000
15 it is. Straight up robbery. Mike, change your address to SI ASAP. SI residents only pay $5.
NYR2711
Fu k this weather. This, I am dying in this heat. My vest at work was so soaked with sweat that the next day I went into work, it was still soaked. The worst part was that yesterday the dumb cunt who works days took the keys home to the new car, and that has the best A/C. We were pissed. Fuhgeddaboudit
What's it up to these days? $15? Like Rhom said, $15 cash and then I think $11 or $13 for non-SI residency EZPASS.

Took the keys home to the RMP so the day op had to take out the last spare car we had. 3 hours later someone's car was overheating so the guy had no spare to use. Had to drive around patrol in 95 degrees on with the heat on full blast. Poor bastard.

We had a guy that worked midnights that always used to take keys home, and then he would never answer his phone when you called him. We found a bunch of old key one day ad glued them all over his locker. We have 1 car that barely blows out cold air, and we just got a brand new Impala, and that thing gets so cold that you have to turn the air down to low, its great in this heat, and of course that was the car this bitch had. No one in my unit likes her, so I know the midnight guys are going to rip into her when she comes in.

No one ever goes back to the command unless their post happens to be the area covering the actual precinct. No daily turnout or roll call or whatever you guys call it. Its nice starting and ending at our command. We used to flip lockers, but now everyone complains. We had one guy who kept screwing over other cops, so someone went to the hospital and got the stuff to make a cast and wrapped his lock in it while he was on vacation. He came back and couldnt figure out why someone did this at firt, unti; everyone filled him in. He never screwed anyone over again.

If i'm at a post that is 10 miles east of the precinct though and I live out east, i'm very happy to not have to drive that extra 10 miles lol

I think I stopped taking it when it was $11. $15 is absurd — especially for a bridge that was supposed to be free by now.
