QUOTE(S) TO NOTE:

“We came out slow, we came out weak A little bit of a wake-up call after the first, but [head coach Peter Laviolette] came in and kind of gave us the business. Rightfully so, we were not very good to start the game."

Oooooof...SJS have enough players on IR to populate an on-ice shift.

LAV is doing what we're all thinking - holding guys accountable. I think they appreciate it too. Its one thing to have a player stand up and keep the troops in line; Messier comes to mind as one who could do that effectively. But there is risk in that. You don't want to create a rift in the room. LAV can say what's needed to be said from his perch atop the team. Right now, the boys are listening and enjoying success.

These call-ups make no sense. Call up Edstrom for no reason, and now Blidh? Why not Enstrom LOL?

Total speculation on my part, but if these guys who are called up are actually coming to NYC, it could be just to give them a taste of the pro game and make them hungrier?

Edstrom is sick. He was out for Hartford the last two nights.
