Unbelievable, we are this close to getting Gallant fired and the Rangers are going to come back and win this game to save his job.

Showing some life at the end there.  As Blue Heaven pointed out, I liked Panarin shooting more as a change of pace.

2 intermission trivia

Who is the only ranger to score three ways, short-handed - even strength - power play two different times for the team?

Me too, but the replacement better be worth it, or else it'll just be more of the same.

You know damn well, Dolan and Dreary (<spelled correctly) will F this up! "We'd like to introduce Hoser McHoser as the NY Rangers New head coach!" during his time as a pee wee coach he amassed an impeccable record of a lot wins and only a couple losses one season 30 years ago. We feel he has (insert positive spin) and will develop a winning mindset/team and develop the turds we always seem to draft...."

Good for Trouba earning that C for that period. Now based on his play this season odds are he'll get caught with his head up his ass for the GWG late in the game.  I ain't lying.  Been fooled by all the corners we've turned every time we've done something right over the last several weeks.

That said stop sucking for real as a group, please.

Sharpshooter - 3

Keirik- 1

Bugg - 1

NyRangers93 - 1

  1. Mika Zibanejad: October 5, 2019 at Ottawa Senators
  2. Mika Zibanejad:  March 17, 2021 vs Philadephia Flyers

  • No Ranger got more than a hat trick when accomplishing this feat. Five NHL players did it while scoring five goals in a single game and 23 did it while scoring four times.
  • The Rangers have done it seven times at Madison Square Garden and four times on the road.  The Rangers never did at the old Garden.
  • The only time that a Ranger did this and the team lost was in 2006 when they lost to the Islanders 7-4 at the Garden despite Brendan Shanahan’s efforts.
  • Teams usually win when a player puts on this kind of scoring display.  Of the 162 times an NHL player accomplished this feat, it came in a losing effort only 20 times.
  • The youngest Rangers player to score three different ways was 22-year old Don Maloney in 1981.
  • The oldest Ranger to do this was Brendan Shanahan who was almost 38 years old.

Of course, nothing compares to Mario Lemieux’s feat of scoring five different ways in a single game, an accomplishment that may never be matched.  On New Year’s Eve in 1988, in a 8-6 win over the Devils, he also scored on a penalty shot and added an empty net goal.

That Lemieux feat is insane.
