How do you give up a game tying goal under a minute left in the 3rd then a game winner with under a minute left in OT?

And all we'll hear from GG is, it was real good game, Ottawa is a real good team, just bad bounces, i like how they're playing, just gotta keep at it

The sequence of half-assed clearing "attempts" in the 15 or so seconds before the tying goal was more painful to watch as a sequence than the Oilers reeling off four straight third period goals.

Their goalie stops a clear breakaway; ours fails on an impeded breakaway.

Just concerning that in essentially a must-win against a bad team that they couldn’t not only show up and dominate, they couldn’t show up and get 2 points on home ice.

I have been delaying it, but it’s time: sound the alarms. This season is on life support IMO.

Yea, Vally basically voices the same concerns as you in the post-game. The team definitely looks slower but that can be worked through with the right system. But his point about the big players looking like passengers is true and much more concerning. That's not an easy overnight fix. The team's in a precarious position right now and continues to fall out of the playoff race, and that's the most engaged your big guns look? Welp.

Vally is so good at what he does analyzing the game

The real sad thing about the way we’re playing is that we’re only 4 points out of 2nd in the Metro. Last year the Metro was competitive because you had 5 teams playing great hockey; this year, aside from the Devils raging hot start, the division has been shit. Totally missed opportunity, since a lot of teams seem to be having difficulty stringing wins together.

I just don’t know what more can be done. At some point, it falls on the players to be better and fix this. We can’t blame all of it on Gallant. This goes beyond coaching IMO. I’m not saying he is without blame whatsoever, so please don’t take it that way. But for that locker room to look this lost is just pathetic. At some point, guys like Zibanejad have to man up and stop sulking and looking like sorry ass pussies in their post game pressers. That locker room and these players look tissue soft at the moment. The leaders have to be leaders. They can’t look like they lost a Game 7 in triple OT after every loss. The whole team looks fragile.

Same shit, different night.  You knew it was coming, it was just a matter of when.  Honestly, Ottawa should've won this game 6-2, if it wasn't for Igor being Superman again.

...And here are the Top 9 nominees for Ozzy’s Quote of the GDT:

Nice to get Trouba off the ice for 5 minutes as well

Instead of that cringey msg promo with the acoustic guitar, can they show Phil moderating this group of dummies we got here?

Sorry but if they need Shesterkin to be Vezina Shesterkin to beat Ottawa, especially when they should be desperate for wins, there's a big fucking problem.

Absolute terrible loss. Fucking blow it under a minute left in the 3rd then in OT

A new candidate for worst loss of the year, what the f----

How many fucking icings were there in this game??  1000?  Bad outlet passes, can't get outta the zone, can't finish around the net, missing breakaways, too many passes...blah, blah blah!

When the high part of the night is hearing Kenny Albert call the game, you know we're in bad shape.

...and the winning quote for tonight’s GDT goes to @BlairBettsBlocksEverything BBB!

One thing's for sure though, if it wasn't for this group up here, entertainment this season would be at a fucking all time low!

What's worse is that I STILL don't think we've hit rock bottom yet!!
